Kenza Dali delivers it a bit better this time and forces Villa into a hasty clearance away that picks up a deflection and goes out for a throw-in right near the corner flag.

The visitors swiftly win it back before Villa eventually clear away.

Danielle van de Donk's pass meets Beth Mead who attempts to cut it back to Caitlin Foord but it goes out of play.

At the other end, West Ham win a corner and Kenza Dali sends it in towards the box.

However, it drifts out of play before her team-mates can get hold of it.

Aston Villa have turned up for the second half well up for this and somehow they're not in front against West Ham.

Shania Hayles has not one but two chances to score as she races into the box and fires one shot against Hammers keeper Mackenzie Arnold before firing the rebound back at her.

Vivianne Miedema links up with skipper Kim Little but her shot goes just over the bar.

Katie McCabe receives the ball on the left and passes to Vivianne Miedema who weaves her way into a better position to deliver a promising long ball into the far post but Danielle van de Donk can't get there and the ball goes out of play.

The first half comes to an end at Villa Park and despite plenty of chances for the visitors, it's still goalless.

A big 45 minutes awaits. West Ham look in good shape but somehow haven't found the net.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa have plenty to think about.

Aston Villa struggle to clear the ball right in front of their goal and, despite outnumbering the hosts somehow the Hammers can't quite work a shot into an empty goal.

Maz Pachego somehow strikes high and wide under pressure to put the ball in the net.

Jordan Nobbs gets the best chance of the game so far, but her effort is palmed onto the crossbar by Sandy MacIver.

Arsenal have a lot of energy here and have really started with high intensity.

Everton have barely had the ball.

Kenza Dali does well to play Emily van Egmond through to shoot on the edge of the Aston Villa box as West Ham push upfield once more.

Van Egmond's follow-up shot is on target and forces a diving save from Villa keeper Lisa Weiss.
