Right, that's all from me for tonight. Here's the report on Real's win and I'll see you later.
This is how it looks at the top of the table. Still a lot for Real to do but the win was much needed after the cup disappointment and means they live to fight another day.
Alaves 1-4 Real Madrid
Real Madrid's Karim Benzema, speaking to La Liga TV: "It was a good game, we played well and it is good for confidence. We know every game is difficult. We always try to put in our best performance. We always have the desire to win the game.
"It is good coming at the end of the week we have had. We always want to win and always want to be high up the table."

All over and a big win and performance from Real Madrid as they bounced back after their surprise Spanish Cup defeat.

Closer for Lucas Perez as he curled shot on the turn flies just wide of the far post.
A good late spell from the hosts.

Alaves are not giving up on trying to get another back as a decent attack ends with Lucas Perez slicing a volley wide.

Real Madrid make a double change as Isco and Álvaro Odriozola come on for Luka Modric and Marco Asensio.
Just over 14 minutes remaining with Real firmly on course for a much needed win.

Alaves make their fourth change as Pere Pons comes on for Tomás Pina but hopes of a fightback have realistically turned to damage limitation for the hosts now.
Karim Benzema
A second for Karim Benzema and that is surely job done for Real.
It comes soon after a good chance for Alaves as Real break and Benzema cuts inside from the left and then bends a shot into the back of the net.
Alaves 1-3 Real Madrid
Alaves are enjoying a good spell at the moment - plenty of possession. If they can get another one back then an already nervy Real defence will really be tested.
Alaves 1-3 Real Madrid
Joselu continues to pose a threat as he connects well with an awkward ball but puts his effort just wide.
Wouldn't have counted anyway as the flag goes up for offside.

Real Madrid make a change as they look to restore their three-goal advantage as Vinícius Júnior replaces Eden Hazard.
Joselu
Alaves have one back!
Lucas Perez sends the free kick into the box and Joselu is allowed to rise unmarked to power home a header.
Still lots to do but Alaves have hope.

Eder Militao, having recovered from being on the end of a late challenge now produces a late challenge of his own as he slides in Lucas Pérez.

Great link up play between Luka Modric, Eden Hazard and Lucas Vázquez before the latter sends a cross to the far post but the ball is just beyond Karim Benzema.
Alaves 0-3 Real Madrid
Eder Militao is caught by Tomás Pina. Looks like he got caught by a stray elbow in his stomach and is going to need a minute or two before he can continue so we've got a pause in play at the moment.

Real Madrid have regained a bit of control after that bright start by the hosts and are now looking to add to their lead.
