Six games down, six to go in the Championship.

Leaders Norwich battled their way to victory to go 10 points clear, Wayne Rooney's derby returned to winnings ways and bottom side Wycombe edged past Reading to move to within eight points of safety.

We'll be back for coverage of the other six matches - plus a couple in League Two - tomorrow.

It's still a tough ask for Wycombe Wanderers in their bid to avoid an immediate return to League One, though they're doing everything in their power to do so with wins like tonight's against Reading.

Rotherham's defeat by Nottingham Forest dents their survival bid and keeps them in the bottom three.

There are still plenty of twists and turns to come at this end of the table.

Norwich are tonight's big winners, moving 10 points clear at the top with their victory over Birmingham.

Brentford, Watford, Swansea and Bournemouth all play tomorrow, but Wycombe's impressive win over Reading looks a costly one as the Royals fail to make up ground.

Here are this evening's main headlines from League Two:

• Third-placed Cheltenham move within two points of Cambridge United at the top of the table with victory over the league leaders.
• Morecambe score in the 94th and 96th minutes to come from behind and beat Salford City.
• Tranmere twice come from behind to win at Carlisle thanks to an 88th-minute James Vaughan winner.
• Bottom two Grimsby Town and Barrow both win to boost survivial hopes.
• Wins for Bolton, Bradford, Exeter and Harrogate.

Here's this evening's headlines from the third tier:

• Peterborough go top of table after second-half goals from Sammy Szmodics, Jonson Clarke-Harris and Jack Taylor see them beat Plymouth.
• Lincoln, who started the night top, twice come from behind to earn a point against struggling Swindon.
• James Norwood's first-half strike earns Ipswich victory at Hull.
• Promotion challengers Portsmouth and Sunderland both win.
• Scott Wootton scores a 95th-minute winner for Wigan as Joey Barton's first game in charge of Bristol Rovers ends in a 2-1 defeat.
• Wins for Burton, AFC Wimbledon, Crewe and Shrewsbury.

Well that was a pretty thrilling end to proceedings in the Championship.

But how about League One and League Two? Your headlines are coming right up...

Dejection for Luton, who were oh so close to three points.

Elijah Adebayo had put them ahead but George Evans' 95th-minute leveller means the sides share the spoils.

Big, big, big win for 10-man Wycombe.

Fred Onyedinma scored the all-important goal for the league's bottom side, and they hung on despite having Ryan Tafazolli sent off.

Both sides missed penalties - Lucas Joao hitting the bar for Reading and Uche Ikpeazu seeing his spot-kick saved.

Millwall want a penalty for a foul on Tyler Burey but the referee isn't interested.

To be fair, it might not have even been in the area.

Wycombe are winning a series of free-kicks to run the clock down.

Reading have around two minutes to find something.

Nottingham Forest pick up a fourth win in six games in the Championship but they had to squeak past a dogged Rotherham to get the points.

Ryan Yates might have been offside when he finally turned past goalkeeper Viktor Johansson, who had otherwise kept Anthony Knockaert and co at bay.

Freddie Ladapo should have levelled for Rotherham but mishit completely when well-placed, it proved costly.

The Millers remain in the relegation mix-up as Forest pull further clear.

Lyle Taylor and Tyler Blackett do a cracking job of clearing the lines for Forest and taking it into the corner.

Should be job done.

It's all gone a bit scrappy on the pitch, but it's lively on the touchline.

Managers Nathan Jones and Gary Rowett have had a disagreement and Luton assistant Mick Harford also has his say.

They've added on six minutes at Kenilworth Road.

Michael Smith looked to have done everything right there.

Guided his header over the tips of Brice Samba's fingers, but not under the ringing crossbar.

Forest happy to just whack the ball away after Rotherham hit the crossbar through Michael Smith's header.

They are having palpitations every time this ball goes into that area.

Ten-man Wycombe have five minutes of stoppage time to hang on for victory.

Reading striker Lucas Joao finds himself in a promising position but he tries to take the ball down on his chest and it runs away from him, going through to Wycombe keeper David Stockdale.

Time is running out for the visitors, who have a man advantage.

James Garner's free-kick sees Viktor Johansson sink to the turf to claim for Rotherham.

It was a threatening position on the edge of the box for Forest, but not enough power really.

Into the final minute of normal time.

Uche Ikpeazu picks himself up to take it but his spot-kick is saved by Reading keeper Rafael.

That's a second missed penalty in this second half - one for each side.

That surely would've sealed a priceless three points for Wycombe.
