  6. 'Not a day to judge performances' - McInnespublished at 17:44 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2021

    FT: Aberdeen 0-0 St Mirren

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes tells BBC Sportsound: "We go with a positive line-up. The intent was trying to get playing in their half of the pitch.

"But the conditions made it difficult for both sets of players. It's not a proper day to be judging people and performances. There's no criticism of my players, their effort was outstanding.

"I've been a manager long enough, been involved in the game long enough - if you win games, then the noise moves on elsewhere. It's important to just win games of football.

"When you go through tough spells as a manager, as a club, we've always stuck together to get through it. It's important that we try and do all we can to change the narrative, to change the direction of the season, to try and make sure we finish third and get that European spot as well."

  7. St Mirren 'still in the driving seat' for top sixpublished at 17:40 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2021

    FT: Aberdeen 0-0 St Mirren

St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Sportsound: "It was extremely difficult for both sets of players. Great credit to both teams for the way they went about it. We knew it wasn't going to be pretty with the way the wind was blowing.

"Defensively, I thought we were excellent, considering what happened on Wednesday when we lost four goals [to Celtic]. I thought there was a great reaction overall.

"It was a brilliant chance [for Ryan Flynn in the first half]. It was a very good save. That's probably was the best opportunity of the game.

"I think a draw is probably fair. I still believe we're in the driving seat [for the top six]. Dundee United have leapfrogged us but we've still got games in hand. We're still very positive about the situation."

Goodwin added that Jake Doyle-Hayes, who was replaced at half-time and is on crutches, will go for an x-ray tonight.

  8. Mellon 'surprised' by Pawlett red cardpublished at 17:36 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2021

    FT: Dundee United 3-0 Livingston

Dundee United manager Micky Mellon tells BBC Scotland: "We are growing all the time and today was a great 90 minute performance.

"We've got that mentality now that we know the tempo that game has got to be played in."

Commenting on Peter Pawlett's first-half red card, Mellon would not be drawn on whether they club will appeal against the decision.

"I'm surprised, I think everybody was," he said. "You see the reaction from both benches. But I'm a long way away and the referee makes a decision against you, you've just got to carry on."

  9. 'It's not often Hamilton score four'published at 17:32 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2021

    FT: Motherwell 1-4 Hamilton Academical

Hamilton head coach Brian Rice is understandably absolutely delighted after a fantastic derby victory. He tells BBC Sportsound: "It's not very often Hamilton sore four in the league.

"I'm very proud of that. We set our stall out early. You saw a team today that are desperate to stay in this league.

"The boys were magnificent. We don't have the finances other teams have. We have lads with heart and spirit. They will give everything to make sure we are in the Premiership next season."

  10. Motherwell must 'learn harsh lessons'published at 17:29 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2021

    FT: Motherwell 1-4 Hamilton Academical

A rather gloomy Motherwell manager Graham Alexander tells BBC Sportsound: "We had to defend the first goal better. It was such a loose goal to concede.

"Then the penalty is a double whammy (with a red card for Stephen O'Donnell). From then on it's a tough task for us. We were in a big hole at half time.

"I asked the boys show me the character we need going forward. We had to show a response and I think we did that.

"We have to learn the harsh lessons from the first half. I include myself in that. We've got to show next week this was a one off.

The Fir Park boss refused to comment on incidents in the game, including his sending off.

The injuries are mounting up for St Mirren but Jim Goodwin has a good blend and they have been strong defensively, so they are in with a real chance of finishing top six

  12. Kilmarnock slide to seventh loss on the spinpublished at 17:17 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2021

    FT: Rangers 1-0 Kilmarnock

That's seven successive defeats for Kilmarnock now, the worst run from any team in the Premiership this season.

Tommy Wright has them looking more organised and up for the fight but there is a distinct lack of goal threat, having drawn a blank in six of those losses.

Killie are up at Pittodrie next Saturday and can perhaps call on new signing Kyle Lafferty.

  14. Buddies fall back to seventhpublished at 17:09 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2021

    FT: Aberdeen 0-0 St Mirren

Where does that stalemate leave the teams?

Aberdeen have now played the same number of games as Hibs and trail the Edinburgh side by four points in the battle for third place.

St Mirren drop down to seventh as Dundee United move back into the top half of the table but the Buddies have two matches in hand on the men from Tannadice.

  15. County drop to foot of the tablepublished at 17:05 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2021

    FT: Motherwell 1-4 Hamilton Academical

With four points from their last two games, the Accies have hoisted themselves off the bottom of the table.

It means that Ross County, idle today after a postponement, are in the automatic relegation spot on goal difference - and they've played one more game than Brian Rice's side.

  18. FULL-TIME Rangers 1-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 16:56 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2021

Rangers move 21 points clear of Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership thanks to Ryan Jack's stunning finish against Kilmarnock at Ibrox.

The Scotland midfielder's volley just before the break was enough to give Steven Gerrard's side a seventh consecutive home win.

Dogged Kilmarnock limited the leaders to a handful of chances, but they rarely threatening at the other end and have now lost both games under new manager Tommy Wright.
