  1. Postpublished at 15:56 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2021

Six goals, a red card, a missed penalty and enforced substitutions is the story of the Scottish Premiership afternoon so far - and I thought my good buddies Colin Moffat and Clive Lindsay got all the lively first halves!

  2. Evenly matched in Paisleypublished at 15:56 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2021

    HT: St Mirren 1-1 Livingston

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at the SMISA Stadium

St Mirren finally took advantage of the wind with Cammy MacPherson’s excellent strike benefitting beautifully from a tailwind as it sailed past Robby McCrorie.

Livingston had really grown into the game following their early opener and have whipped in a number of dangerous crosses that have caused concern.

It’s fairly evenly matched overall but you can see both managers are desperate for the win, urging their players forward at every opportunity.

  3. HALF-TIME Hibernian 1-0 Hamiltonpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2021

It's been an action packed first half at Easter Road.

Hamilton started well, hitting the post and looking like the better team.

But Jamie Hamilton was sent off in the 12th minute, Martin Boyle put Hibs ahead in the 13th minute, and since then Hamilton have been hanging on in there to keep the deficit at one.

That included goalkeeper Ryan Fulton having to save a Boyle penalty.

    Hibernian 1-0 Hamilton

Big miss from Hibs' Chris Cadden right on half-time. Martin Boyle lays the ball on a plate to him but he blasts his shot wide of the post from inside the area.

  6. HALF-TIME Motherwell 0-2 St Johnstonepublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2021

St Johnstone hold a deserved lead at half-time and, as things stand, are heading five points clear of Motherwell in eighth place with a game in hand.

The visitors have dominated possession and territory, and attempted 14 shots to Motherwell's one.

Guy Melamed opened the scoring with a terrific curling effort from the edge of the box, and Jason Kerr struck the second Saints goal with the final kick of the half.

It's been all St Johnstone, in truth, and they might have scored more. Ali McCann, Shaun Rooney and Melamed all had good chances.

  7. HALF-TIME Aberdeen 1-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2021

Aberdeen's first goal in seven games has them ahead as Kilmarnock face the prospect of a club record eighth consecutive defeat.

Substitute Callum Hendry headed home with his first touch for his maiden Dons goal to bring palpable relief to the Reds.

It's a lead the hosts just about deserve, although Kilmarnock striker Nicke Kabamba should have done better than shoot straight at Joe Lewis when one-on-one.

  8. HALF-TIME St Mirren 1-1 Livingstonpublished at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2021

All square in Paisley at the break in the battle between fifth and sixth in the division.

Conor McCarthy's calamitous own goal had Livingston ahead, but the hosts got themselves back into it through Cammy MacPherson's stunning curling effort.

All to play for in the second half.

  9. goal

GOAL Motherwell 0-2 St Johnstonepublished at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2021

    Jason Kerr

My word, that was utter bedlam!

Liam Craig's long-range drive cracks the crossbar, Chris Kane follows up and then Shaun Rooney tries to nod into the unguarded net from a couple of yards out, but he too hits the woodwork.

Motherwell can't clear, though, and Jason Kerr is on hand to rasp home from around 15 yards.

  10. CLOSE!published at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2021

    St Mirren 1-1 Livingston

Someone's got to get on the end of that!

Livingston's Julien Serrano whips in a perfect low ball from the left, but no one is on hand to tap it in.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2021

    Motherwell 0-1 St Johnstone

That's better from Motherwell. The hosts finally earn some real estate in the Saints half, and Liam Polworth unleashes a long-range drive that draws a good stop from Zander Clark. It's the away goalkeeper's first major involvement.

A minute or so later, St Johnstone explode downfield and Liam Craig tees up Ali McCann to swerve just wide from right of centre with Liam Kelly out of position.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:37 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2021

    Aberdeen 1-0 Kilmarnock

    Big chance for Kilmarnock.

The Aberdeen defence is caught out by a simple pass and Nicke Kabamba bears down on goal, with Joe Lewis spreading himself to foil the striker.

  14. PENALTY SAVEDpublished at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2021

    Hibernian 1-0 Hamilton

Hibernian winger Martin Boyle's effort from 12 yards is pushed wide by Ryan Fulton. Will that prove to be a turning point for Hamilton?

  15. PENALTY HIBERNIANpublished at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2021

    Hibernian 1-0 Hamilton

It's a penalty to Hibs after a goalmouth scramble ends with Christian Doidge taking a tumble in the box.

  16. CLOSE!published at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2021

    Motherwell 0-1 St Johnstone

There's only one team in this at the moment. Motherwell are on the ropes and the blows keep flying from St Johnstone.

Another David Wotherspoon cross narrowly misses the two visiting players in the middle, but comes all the way through for Shaun Rooney, who rasps a shot just across the face of goal from the right.

It feels like a second St Johnstone goal is in the post...

  19. GOOD SAVE!published at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2021

    St Mirren 0-1 Livingston

Jak Alnwick does well in the home goal to get down to his left and parry behind a 20-yard strike from Craig Sibbald.

  20. CLOSE!published at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2021

    Motherwell 0-1 St Johnstone

Guy Melamed is inches away from bagging his second goal of the afternoon.

David Wotherspoon is picked out in acres of space on the left side of the Motherwell box, and his teasing ball to the back post floats agonisingly beyond the striker's outstretched leg.

    Motherwell are living dangerously.
