Looking at the replay of that Ben Godfrey backpass, he's got both hands on his face the moment he realises Jordan Pickford isn't at home.

Would definitely have been one for the bloopers reel.

England on the counter-attack, Austria lost the ball and England broke very quickly, Jack Grealish with Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka doesn't give up he just follows in as good strikers do. Kane plays it across and you think Grealish is going to score but Saka doesn't switch off and he just taps it in, it's a good finish.

GOAL - England 1-0 Austria

Breakthrough!

England win the ball back and then it is all about the outside-of-the-boot pass by Jack Grealish.

It finds Harry Kane who slips the ball into the path of Jesse Lingard and as an Austrian player tries to get a foot in to divert the ball away, can only lay it off for Bukayo Saka to slot into an open net.

Will that silence the critics?

YELLOW CARD

Another chop from Stefan Lainer and this time he does get a booking for a late lunge on Bukayo Saka.

Five minutes to the second half, England are still looking at ways to break the deadlock.

They need Jack Grealish on the ball, but the Austria players are doing a number on him everytime he gets it.

We need to see more end product - England have created a few chances but didn't take them - there was no purpose in the chances for me, a bit of composure is what they need.

Brilliant from Jack Grealish, evading two, three attempted fouls from Austria with a weaving run and releasing the ball towards Jesse Lingard in the box but the move peters out.
