  1. SUBSTITUTION

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Switzerland

Here comes Dion Charles for Conor Washington.

Northern Ireland fans have wanted to see more of the Accrington Stanley man in a green shirt, now's their chance!

Liverpool youngster Conor Bradley is also on for Michael Smith. Smith looks like he is struggling, but that's a bold call from Ian Baraclough to introduce the 18-year-old in such a big game.

  2. Post update

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Switzerland

It barely matters at this stage, but Giovanni Di Lorenzo has added a fifth for Italy against Lithuania.

They seem to be stealing all the goals for the other Group C game, send some here please!

  3. Swiss chances at a premium

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Switzerland

    John O'Neill

Former Northern Ireland defender on BBC Radio Ulster

Quote Message: Northern Ireland are not giving Switzerland any openings. They are having to go back and forward across the pitch.
  4. SUBSTITUTION

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Switzerland

Murat Yakin is the first manager to pull the pin as Steven Zuber and Renato Steffen come on for the visitors.

Fabian Frei and Christian Faasnacht are the players to make way.

  5. Post update

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Switzerland

The second-half hasn't had the same frantic energy as the opening 45 minutes.

The Swiss are seeing a lot more of the ball but they're yet to carve a way through the green wall sitting in front of them.

  6. Post update

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Switzerland

Vargas curls a comfortable effort straight at Peacock-Farrell, who clutches the ball as calm as you like.

  7. YELLOW CARD

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Switzerland

Denis Zakaria is the next man to be booked as he hacks down Shayne Lavery when the Blackpool man was bursting down the right flank on the counter.

The Swiss defence will be seeing Lavery in their nightmares tonight.

  8. Post update

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Switzerland

The referee's whistle blowing is becoming more and more frantic, which is never a good thing with 40 minutes to play.

  9. Post update

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Switzerland

Shayne Lavery is rewarded for his relentless running and wins a free-kick from Akanji near the corner flag.

Jordan Thompson is over it but it fails to trouble the Swiss defence, who clear the ball away.

  10. CLOSE!

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Switzerland

Vargas, who miraculously recovered when Lewis was booked, whips in a brilliant cross and it's just beyond the long, outstretched leg of Manuel Akanji.

That was not far away from the defender's leg, and if got a connection NI were in trouble.

  11. YELLOW CARD

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Switzerland

Switzerland have started the second half on the front foot.

Jamal Lewis is penalised for tripping Ruben Vargas, and then picks up a cheap yellow card for kicking the ball away.

    Switzerland get us back underway.

Surely the second-half can't be as good as the first?!

    David Healy

Northern Ireland's record goalscorer on BBC Radio Ulster

  15. Post update

Poland 0-0 England; Wales 0-0 Estonia

England and Wales are the two other home nations in action this evening but, like in Belfast, we're yet to see a goal.

    It's half-time in both matches.

  16. 'Great attitude and great discipline'

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Switzerland

    Jim Magilton

Former Northern Ireland midfielder on BBC Radio Ulster

Quote Message: Ian Baraclough will be delighted as to how his plan has played out. The players have shown a great attitude and great discipline. The problem might come when the two guys up front tire.
  17. Post update

    Italy 4-0 Lithuania

Italy are cruising against Lithuania with a champions' performance.

Moise Kean has scored twice and sadly for Giacomo Raspadori, his first effort has gone down as an own goal.

However not to be deterred, he got one nobody can take off him to help Roberto Mancini's men cruise to three points.

  18. Big night for big Kyle

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Switzerland

Kyle Lafferty is on the bench and this would be the perfect night for him to end that much-highlighted goal drought.

  19. You want clear heads? You got them

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Switzerland

    Mark Sterling

BBC Sport NI at Windsor Park

Northern Ireland manager Ian Baraclough called for his players to stay in the zone and have clear heads tonight, particularly at the start of the match.

It has clearly registered. That was a hugely assured and confident half from the home side, cheered on pretty much constantly by a vociferous home support that is keen to make up for lost time.

Chances have been at a premium - and there is the worry that Shayne Lavery's opportunity could be as close as NI come - but the passing, movement and build-up play has been very impressive.

Switzerland had started well and came into it more after the penalty award, but Baraclough will surely be happy with that half.

He'll have a decision to make the longer it stays level - whether to look to more attacking options from the bench - but for now he can be content.
