The Spain fans are getting the oles out for every pass. It's going to be a long evening now for these Italy players.

You fear for Italy that this half is going to be death by a thousand passes now.

This is Italy's problem now. Even when they break the press of Spain, they don't have the numbers they need to hurt the visitors in attack. Jorginho breaks through and looks up to see... nobody.

Yeah, Ferran Torres is getting some treatment now off the pitch. Spain will be hoping that isn't serious. As will Manchester City.

Spain will never have a better chance to win in Italy now.

This game had edge from the off. A red card was always in the offing.

RED CARD FOR ITALY

Leonardo Bonucci has already been booked for talking back to the ref. He adds to that by leading with his arm in an aerial challenge with Sergio Busquets and catching him with an elbow.
