If this had worked, it would have been brilliant, but Paul Pogba's 30-yard high ball into Antoine Griezmann is caught by Unai Simon.

Good play by Theo Hernandez to stop Ferran Torres' run down the wing.

Hernandez scored France's last-minute winner against Belgium in the semi. Torres scored both of Spain's goals against Italy.

Marcos Alonso doesn't think it's too far out to shoot. He tries to catch Hugo Lloris out at his near post but drags it just wide. It was at least 30 yards out.

Ferran Torres is causing France plenty of problems. He's fouled by Aurelien Tchouameni. Free-kick maybe just too far out to shoot.

Paul Pogba wins the ball back for France and plays it to Antoine Griezmann with a nice pass.

Now it's France who go backwards, to goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

Spain try to get something going with a passing move, Gavi is involved, but France end up driving them backwards.

There was a VAR check for a possible France penalty which nobody really seemed to claim for. Not given anyway.

Five touches now for Kylian Mbappe. He tries to punish Spain on the counter-attack but Aymeric Laporte beats him in a one-on-one battle.

Kylian Mbappe has only touched the ball four times. I've barely seen him.

Presnel Kimpembe has had a couple of shaky moments against Ferran Torres so far.

He cuts out Torres' cross but then mis-controls it back to the Spain player. Kimpembe tackles him in the end and concedes a corner.

The corner is hacked away.

High quality but not high action is how I would describe the opening 24 minutes.
