    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

I'll sign off now. Thanks for your company.

Host Steven Thompson will be along with a bumper helping of highlights from Celtic Park on BBC Scotland at 19:15.

What will the panel say about that Odsonne Edouard penalty incident?

The Celtic camp seem convinced it was a spot-kick, but replays suggest referee Willie Collum was right to book the striker for taking a dive.

  2. 'A more positive result for us than them' - Gerrardpublished at 14:57 Greenwich Mean Time 21 March 2021

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard tells Sky Sports: "Celtic had good opportunities, so did we. The game was set for someone to go and win it.

"But we were away from home, we're the champions, we've taken seven points from nine in Old Firm games and we're 20 points clear. This is a more positive result for us than them.

"We've had a real journey in the last two or three weeks. Celtic had a lot of preparation time for us. We came here to win but we're pleased with the point."

On the unbeaten league run: "It's a sideshow. The important thing for us to be ready for every game and try win as many as we can. The Scottish Cup is the priority because it's a chance to win another trophy. We'll give it all we've got in the remaining games to try stay unbeaten. It's not a priority because I need to use my squad. People are desperate for minutes and games."

On Alfredo Morelos getting his first Old Firm goal: "He's been magnificent for us and his contribution has been really big. He will be really relieved to get that monkey off his back."

We don't have any more Premiership action until 10 April, with the post-split fixtures yet to be announced.

There are Scottish Cup games to follow the international weekend, with Rangers taking on Cove Rangers and Celtic hosting either Arbroath or Falkirk.

Celtic will be looking to lift the cup for the fifth time in a row, while Rangers haven't won it since 2009.

  5. 'I'd like Kennedy to get the job' - Welshpublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 21 March 2021

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

Celtic defender Stephen Welsh had an assured game and he tells BBC Sportsound: "Tough game as usual, that's what we expect when you come into these type of games. I thought we dominated the first-half but that's what has happened for us this season, we've not taken our chances. All in all we are disappointed not to come away with a win.

"Our concentration in the key moments has let us down and we need to work on that for the rest of this season and next season.

"I think Kendo's (John Kennedy) doing a great job at the moment. I've worked with him for four or five years and he makes it easy for me to go and play. He trusts me to go and play in these games so, yes, definitely I'd like him to get the job."

I feel Ryan Christie has been affected with what's gone on at Celtic this season. He's been drifting in and out of games. There was talk about him leaving, that might've had an impact as well. He's got to get back at it, because we [Scotland] need him for the summer.

If they are available, Celtic need to bring in their new manager right now. The key issue is who is going to make that decision? Would the Celtic fans be happy if it's Peter Lawwell?

  9. 'We're all delighted for Morelos' - Wrightpublished at 14:28 Greenwich Mean Time 21 March 2021

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

Rangers forward Scott Wright tells Sky Sports: "The unbeaten run is something we don't really speak about.

"We just go into every game the same and now it's on to the next one."

On Alfredo Morelos notching his first derby goal, Wright adds: "He's got a great mentality. He just wants to score every game and we're all delighted for him."

  10. Old Firm first for Morelospublished at 14:26 Greenwich Mean Time 21 March 2021

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

Alfredo Morelos will be a happy man after breaking his Old Firm duck with the equaliser. The Rangers striker had gone 12 derbies without finding the net.

The Colombian now has 55 Premiership goals as the Ibrox club celebrate a 55th title.

From half-a-yard out he could hardly miss, but it's all about being in the right place at the right time.

  11. 'Result does not reflect performance' - Kennedypublished at 14:20 Greenwich Mean Time 21 March 2021

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

Speaking to BBC Sportsound, interim Celtic manager John Kennedy says: "Performance-wise it was good. Result-wise not so much. But I don't think the result reflects the performance, I thought we created the better chances. We should have been more clinical but I'll give the players praise for creating those opportunities.

"The last few weeks have been about coming together and not falling apart and I thought the players showed that today to stick together."

On the first-half penalty claim for Odsonne Edouard:

"I think it was a penalty and it would have changed the game. It was minimal contact but it was enough to bring Odsonne down and it was a reckless challenge. Why would he go down?"

    Billy Dodds
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

Celtic need to start showing signs there will be a structure in place with a core group of players they can build on for next season. Their defence is not the way it should be. They look half a dozen players short of Rangers

  13. Celtic denied 'stonewall' penalty, says Brownpublished at 14:12 Greenwich Mean Time 21 March 2021

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

Celtic captain Scott Brown tells Sky Sports: "I think in the first half we were excellent, could have had three or four, could have had a penalty - it was a stonewaller. There was no need for Odsonne Edouard to go down, we saw it at half-time.

"I think today's performance we've been miles better than we have been this season.

"The last three games we've been really good. it shows the lads are still fighting and have a lot of pride in ourselves."

  14. 'Flat Old Firm'published at 14:09 Greenwich Mean Time 21 March 2021

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

    Steven Thompson
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

Overall, for an Old Firm game, it felt flat. Celtic were the better team in the first half and should have scored more. Rangers didn't offer enough offensively but in the end it's a brilliant away point to continue their unbeaten run

  15. 'Kennedy's chance gone'published at 14:06 Greenwich Mean Time 21 March 2021

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

For Celtic it's another game where they create lots of chances but can't score and are then punished by a set-piece. If there was any chance for John Kennedy to get the job on a permanent basis I think it might have gone with that game.

    FT: Rangers 1-1 Celtic

The Rangers bench looked pretty pleased when the final whistle went.

Five matches remaining to go unbeaten in the league and the one remaining derby will be at Ibrox.

Will they get over the line with an unblemished record?

  19. FULL-TIME Celtic 1-1 Rangerspublished at 93 mins

An 'Invincibles' league campaign is still on for Rangers as the spoils are shared.

Celtic shaded the contest in terms of possession and shots, but Rangers were always a threat.

Both goals came in the first half, with Alfredo Morelos cancelling out a Mohamed Elyounoussi diving header.

The champions remain 20 points in front of their Glasgow rivals.

I've been really impressed with James Forrest since he's come on. Looking really good, looking a lot fitter again, and it's exciting news for everyone. He's such an important player in a creative sense and for a period he was undroppable for Scotland and for Celtic.
