    Two significant results in the second tier, with Hearts leaving East End Park with a point that moves the leaders to within four points of the title and promotion.

    Dunfermline had their chances to win it, but a goalless draw is enough to take them above Inverness into fourth place.

    Down at the bottom, Alloa must surely be heading for relegation now, their defeat by Arbroath leaving them seven points adrift.

    The Red Lichties move level on points with third-bottom Morton but remain behind on goal difference having played a game more.

    Nicky Clark's stoppage time goal avoided a Scottish Cup shock for Dundee United at home to League One Partick Thistle.

    The Scottish Premiership side had to fight back from behind after a dominant first half from Thistle resulted in Scott Tiffoney heading them ahead.

    Thistle had other chances to increase the lead, but two defensive errors from Mouhamed Niang was their undoing.

    Shankland pounced to equalise before Clark knocked home a last-gasp winner.
