    Rangers v Celtic (15:00)

Celtic interim manager John Kennedy tells Premier Sports: "We've had to rebuild a bit after the change of manager. We're in good form, scoring goals again, controlling games and come here with confidence.

"In the big moments we have to be clinical. We've proved we can create chances against Rangers - we have to take them.

"On our day we have a really high level of performance and I fully believe we can beat anyone."

On James Forrest missing out through injury, Kennedy says: "James was close to making it. He won't be out for a long time. But we have a good squad and are strong enough. A lot of guys have played in this fixture before."

    Rangers v Celtic (15:00)

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard tells Premier Sports: "This game should automatically motivate my players.

"There's a lot at stake and both sides are desperate to win, so I would be surprised if it lacks intensity.

"We want to be as aggressive as we can out the blocks.

"We've already made the stamp on our season. This is a different competition and one we want to go all the way in. It's a huge game."

On his decision to start Scott Arfield, Gerrard adds: "We trust Scott, he's been magnificent for us. He has come through an ankle niggle a few weeks ago and gives us extra bite in midfield."

  18. Red cards galore in previous last 16 meetingpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Rangers v Celtic (15:00)

Celtic fans looking for omens will be heartened to hear that their team has never lost to Rangers in the last 16 of the Scottish Cup.

There have been five previous meetings at this stage, with the last a very fiery encounter in 2011.

Scott Brown equalised to make it 2-2 at Ibrox, with each team having a player sent off.

Rangers picked up three red cards in the Celtic Park replay, including El-Hadji Diouf after the final whistle.

Mark Wilson scored the only goal, while there was an angry confrontation between Celtic manager Neil Lennon and Rangers assistant Ally McCoist at full-time, which earned both men bans.

Set-pieces will be a factor today. Celtic have improved defensively in that respect but lack a bit of height with Bitton and Jullien missing. It's still an Achilles heel for them.

  20. Rangers enjoy recent upper handpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Rangers v Celtic (15:00)

Runaway champions Rangers remain unbeaten with just four league matches remaining and they won both encounters with Celtic before last month's draw.

Celtic were on top in the first half on their last visit to Ibrox on 2 January but could not find a way past Allan McGregor. Steven Gerrard's side improved after the interval and, after a red card for Nir Bitton, an unfortunate own goal from Callum McGregor settled it.

Having also won the last derby of last season, Rangers are on a run of four unbeaten in derbies.
