Despite Watford's recent run of form, Swansea City and Brentford won't have given up hope of automatic promotion.

The Swans are seven points off second place, with the Bees nine points adrift but with a game in hand.

Brentford won 5-0 at Preston last time out and face a London derby in the visit of Milwall while Swansea are targeting a third straight win as they host bottom club Wycombe.

Derby's defeat last night means Wanderers still have hope of a great escape but, starting the day 10 points from safety, Gareth Ainsworth's men surely need to win today.

With 11 wins in their past 13 games, Watford also look set to grab automatic promotion and bounce straight back to the top flight.

The Hornets were fifth when Xisco Munoz took charge in December, and have steadily risen up the table since then.

But even with a seven-point gap to third-placed Swansea, the job is not done for the Vicarage Road side.

Any late slip-ups could be costly, as Watford face a tricky run-in - with games against leaders Norwich, the Swans and Brentford to come before the end of the season.

This afternoon they face a derby at mid-table Luton, who have lost two of their past three.

Norwich City need a maximum of two points to seal an immediate return to the Premier League.

However, Daniel Farke's men could be up before they even face Bournemouth tonight.

If Brentford AND Swansea City fail to win today, then the Canaries will be up.

If Swansea win but Brentford don't, the Norfolk side will only need a point tonight to seal automatic promotion.
