    It's been a great evening for Cheltenham Town, who will be back in League One next season after a 12-year absence, while Grimsby Town have slipped back into the National League.

    Peterborough, meanwhile, missed the chance to secure automatic promotion from League One.

    As for Rotherham, the Millers could be relegated from the Championship on Saturday if results go against them.

    He had praise for match-winner Bryan Mbeumo when speaking to Sky Sports after full-time.

    "After our goal, which was a bit of top class from Sergi Canos and a good header from Bryan Mbeumo, I felt we were in control.

    "We should have put the game to bed so in general I am proud of the boys.

    "We need all the players to have confidence, but especially the offensive players. Bryan is moving towards that and has showed again why he is a good player."

    A fifth loss in a row has left the Millers needing other results to go their way to stay in the Championship:

    "We started well and then the first time Brentford put a decent ball in the box they scored.

    "Our second half performance was a lot better. I can't knock my team's effort and they are desperate to stay up.

    "We needed to come and get something. We need to pick them up again for Saturday.

    "Unfortunately this year we have lost 19 games by one goal. It is so frustrating and I don't know what more to say.

    "We went toe-to-toe as much as we could but Brentford have that bit of quality. Unfortunately we didn't have enough."
