Talking about a waste... Allan-Romeo Nyom is found on the right for Getafe with a chance to pick out a team-mate in the box, but skews his cross behind for a goalkick.

Getafe go close moments later through Angel Rodriguez, who takes a neat touch just inside the box and hits an effort wide of the far post.

First touch for Karim Benzema as he holds the ball up well and works it left to Isco, who then helps it on to Marcelo.

But the full-back's pass is behind Isco as he looks for the return. Bit of a waste after taking up a dangerous position.

That's more like it from Luka Modric. A lovely turn and superb outside-of-the-boot pass into the path of Álvaro Odriozola.

How many times have Real Madrid given it away after committing numbers forward... Getafe get the chance to break again but can't make it count. One of these is going to cost the visitors.

Enes Unal exchanges passes with Jaime Mata and fires in an effort from the edge of the box, but a leaping Thibaut Courtois tips it wide. Another chance for the hosts.

Luka Modric leaves a rare pass short and Mathias Olivera pounces, driving towards the box and opting to shoot despite having team-mates either side of him. Thibaut Courtois saves his effort.

Isco pulling off a nonchalant nutmeg. One for the highlights reel. Real Madrid haven't got any closer to breaking the deadlock though and in fact Vinicius Junior has to ruthlessly bring down Mauro Arambarri to stop Getafe breaking themselves.

Mariano goes down clutching his knee after a collision in the box. Mathias Olivera is also hobbling after that one but there was nothing nasty in it. Mariano gets a bit of treatment but should shake this one off.

Carles Alena wriggles in off the right flank and fancies a crack with his left foot from distance, it deflects off a white shirt and has Thibaut Courtois skipping sideways before dropping wide.

Nicely worked from Getafe, keeping hold of the ball and shifting it right to left, but the cross at the end of the move is too easy for Thibaut Courtois to come and claim.
