Oxford again let themselves down with the final touch.

He picks out James Henry inside the box, who has the goal at his mercy, but his effort balloons high and wide over the crossbar.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 59 mins

    Oxford United 0-2 Blackpool

Kevin Stewart in the book now for Blackpool.

Think that's more for totting up a number of robust challenges rather than for the latest actual one he concedes a free-kick for.

    Oxford United 0-2 Blackpool

Blackpool so close to making it 3-0 on the break.

Jerry Yates directs his shot into the car park behind the goal rather than into the back of the net after meeting James Husband's low ball across the box at the back post.

    Oxford United 0-2 Blackpool

Enforced change for Blackpool as former Oxford loanee Luke Garbutt has to make way for Jordan Thorniley.

  5. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Oxford United 0-2 Blackpool

Great chance for Oxford to claw their way back into it but Chris Maxwell shows exactly why he's kept so many clean sheets this season.

He stands up to deny Mark Sykes with a fine block with his right hand from a one-on-one.

But there was the hint of a push in the back on Sykes there from Ollie Turton, but nothing given.

  6. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Oxford United 0-2 Blackpool

Elliot Embleton manages to cut in from the right wing for Blackpool before taking a shot on his left from the edge of the penalty area.

It goes just wide of the right post, but that was another concerning moment for Oxford.

  7. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Oxford United 0-2 Blackpool

Kevin Stewart is a bit too robust in his challenge on Cameron Brannagan and Oxford win a free-kick in the visitors' half.

But they can't quite find the right ball in as James Husband and Dan Ballard head clear for Blackpool.

Oxford rally again and win a corner.

    Oxford United 0-2 Blackpool

Commitment personified by a few Blackpool fans who have made the journey down to Oxford this evening to find a vantage point into the stadium from the open end of the ground.

They'll be liking what they've seen so far from their side.

  19. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Oxford United 0-2 Blackpool

Mark Sykes spurns a great chance to play a perfect cross on the break for Oxford.

  20. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Oxford United 0-2 Blackpool

Appeals for handball now for Oxford as Brandon Barker's latest run to the area strikes the back of the hand of Blackpool's James Husband.

Nothing given by Bobby Madley and Husband has certainly been in the thick of the action so far.
