Three Wolves players - Romain Saiss, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Adama Traore - are observing Ramadan.

Because the game is on during daylight hours, the players do not have the option for a break to eat or drink like some others have had in evening games recently.

"It's been hard and it's tough on them. It's something we respect and try to support," boss Nuno said.

"When you go to the hotel we have our dinner and they wait for the right moment, when the sun goes down, to have their dinner. It's the only moment they are allowed to eat.

"When we see and feel we should be making the decision which tells us they shouldn't play, we'll take it.

"But just look at the circumstances we are in now, we cannot allow ourselves to leave these three players out because we are short on numbers."

Wolves could record three consecutive clean sheets in top-flight away matches for the first time since 1960.

Nine of their 11 league victories this season have been by a one-goal margin.

They are the only club not to lose a Premier League fixture this season after scoring the opening goal, winning eight of nine matches.

West Brom's position looks pretty hopeless.

Eleven points adrift of fourth-bottom Newcastle, with a worse goal difference and five games left to play.

But manager Sam Allardyce is not giving up if his programme notes are any guide.

"It is still achievable," he said.

"In terms of winning four or even five of our last five games. We have to try and do that to give ourselves a chance."

  6. Nuno has rewatched Burnley game a few timespublished at 17:48 British Summer Time 3 May 2021

West Brom v Wolves (18:00 BST)

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo says he has rewatched their 4-0 defeat by Burnley in their last game several times to see where they went wrong.

"If you want to be involved in sport, you have to be prepared for all the circumstances. Not everything is assessed, not everything is good moments," he said.

"The way you work is always to be the same. When the game goes well, I don't know how many times I see the games.

"When the game doesn't go so well I can assure you that I go and see it over and over again, many, many times, to really try to find where and why it happened so we can rectify it. I've seen it more times than I usually do."

Wolves captain Conor Coady says they never recovered from Raul Jimenez's head injury.

The Mexico striker has been out since fracturing his skull against Arsenal in November and is unlikely to return this season.

Wolves' top scorers are Pedro Neto and Ruben Neves on five goals each.

"It's quite obvious Raul's affected us. It was a shocking injury and all we wanted after was his safety," said Coady.

"Raul's a world class striker and if you lose a world class striker from your team, it's always going to affect you in one way or another.

"It was up to us as players when he got injured to move us forward as quickly as possible and I don't think we've done that as well as we would have liked.

"We've lost other players as well, and we're such a tight-knit squad here at Wolves that the other players we've lost have also hit us hard."

Wolves fan here - I am fearful of what is going to happen this evening. We have not being showing any form so our willingness to fight was our back up in the past. This was lacking against Burnley so fear another heavy defeat.

West Brom v Wolves (18:00 BST)

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC football expert

Sam Allardyce got his first win as West Brom boss over Wolves at Molineux in January but his attempt to keep the Baggies up has never really gathered serious momentum.

Allardyce has picked up 18 points from his 20 league games in charge (0.9 points per game), compared with seven points from 13 (0.54) by his predecessor Slaven Bilic.

So they have improved since Big Sam arrived, but not enough to ever look like they would climb out of the bottom three. When push came to shove, the quality just wasn't there - which we kind of knew anyway.

I think West Brom will be competitive again against Wolves this time, but I don't see another win for Allardyce.

Wolves got taken apart by Burnley last weekend and they will definitely tighten up a lot this time.

    Prediction: 1-1

Sam Allardyce is unbeaten in all nine league matches as a manager against his boyhood club Wolves, winning seven.

His future at West Brom is uncertain.

"Do I stay? That is not a discussion we can have until our fate is decided," added Allardyce.

"I know I can do a job anywhere, for anybody, and be successful. It is just about whether you get the opportunity.

"It is only the end if no-one rings you up and asks if you will manage their club. Eventually, it happens to us all. None of us can go on for ever."

West Brom have won two of their past four Premier League home games, as many victories as in their previous 19 top-flight fixtures at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies are vying to keep three consecutive home clean sheets in the Premier League for the first time since March 2015.

They conceded 19 goals in their first five home league matches under Sam Allardyce (3.8 per game), but have conceded just twice in their subsequent five home fixtures (0.4 per game).

West Brom v Wolves (18:00 BST)

West Brom's time in the Premier League is running out. Unless they win all their five games - and hope other results go their way - it's all over.

They can't be relegated today though.

One of the teams they *could* catch - Burnley - play West Ham later.

Wolves are 12th, with no real chance of Europe or relegation. Even a top-half finish is unlikely.

Sam Allardyce makes just one change to the West Brom side that could only manage a draw with Aston Villa last time out.

In comes defender Dara O'Shea, replacing forward Callum Robinson, who drops to the bench.

West Brom XI: Johnstone, Furlong, Ajayi, O’Shea, Bartley, Townsend, Gallagher, Yokuslu, Maitland-Niles, Pereira, Diagne.

Subs: Button, Robson-Kanu, Robinson, Livermore, Phillips, Diangana, Sawyers, Peltier, Grant.

It’s three changes for Wolves who were hammered by Burnley 4-0 in their previous match.

There’s no place for defender Willy Boly in the matchday squad and there’s no reports of an injury. Owen Otasowie is given his first start since December.

Daniel Podence and Willian Jose also miss out with forward Fabio Silva and midfielder Vitinha coming into the side.

Wolves XI: Rui Patricio, Saiss, Coady, Otasowie, Nelson Semedo, Neves, Dendoncker, Ait Nouri, Vitinha, Traore, Silva.

Subs: Ruddy, Hoever, Daniel Podence, Willian Jose, Gibbs-White, Cundle, Kilman, Corbeanu, Marques.
