Sulaimon Adelekan: I see Brighton getting the needed win that keeps them in the top flight for another season today, Wolves has been terrible this season and there is nothing to fight for anymore.

    Glenn Murray
Former Brighton striker on BBC One

Brighton have changed a lot. From the outside, it maybe doesn't look that way as they are still flirting around that 17th position. But the feel and the philosophy around the football club has changed a lot. That progression is needed to take that next step up the ladder.

Marcus: Wolves losing Jimenez for a huge chunk of the season and their struggles without him shows how important he is to the team. Similar to Van Dijk at Liverpool. Nuno's done well to adjust and will surely learn that they need another top-class striker next season.

Wolves have three teenagers in their starting XI - Fabio Silva, 18, Ki-Jana Hoever, 19, and 19-year-old Rayan Ait Nouri.

The last team to name three teenagers from the start in the top-flight were Arsenal in December 2019 (Smith Rowe, Saka, Martinelli).

At 24 years and 209 days, this is Wolves' youngest starting XI in a Premier League match since October 2009 against Portsmouth (24y 60d).

Onionbag: I'll be happy to see the Seagulls stay up. They play some nice stuff when they are at it. They just need to get a 20-goal season striker and they’ll be challenging the top 10. Potter is doing a fine job considering the resources he has.

  9. Will Jimenez play again this season?published at 11:43 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Wolves v Brighton (12:00 BST)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport

Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed striker Raul Jimenez will see a specialist on 18 May to see if he has any chance of playing before the end of the season.

Jimenez has been missing since November, when he fractured his skull in a Premier League game at Arsenal.

The Mexican has been training, without playing a part in full sessions and is yet to start heading the ball.

Nuno feels Jimenez could play before the end of the season but it depends on the specialist advice.

Banchester Yanited: Brighton need to keep hold of Bissouma and White but the vultures are circling with Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs all interested. If they do sell them they're going to get £60/70m maybe £80m for the two of them?

Will Danny Welbeck stay at Brighton?

The former Manchester United and Arsenal forward has scored three in his past six league games but the 30-year-old is out of contract in the summer.

"He's enjoying his football and in training he looks like he's an 18-year-old, just influencing the game, influencing training, enjoying himself," said Brighton boss Graham Potter.

"We will sit down at the end of the season and try and find the right solution but for me as a head coach, it's about him enjoying his football, does he feel comfortable here? "Does he enjoy it? Are we getting the best out of him?

"If the answer is yes, then there's a good chance in the summer we can find the right solution."

It's 428 days since fans last stepped foot inside Molineux.

A small number are expected for the final game of the season against Manchester United, meaning today's game will hopefully be the final one behind close doors.

In his programme notes, Wolves skipper Conor Coady writes: "Being without you for an entire season has been hugely challenging, your absence has been felt massively every single game, and that will be no different against Brighton & Hove Albion.

"Hopefully, when I’m putting my notes together for the Manchester United game, it’ll be a welcome back. Before then, it’s important we remain professional and represent this club with pride."

    Wolves v Brighton (12:00 BST)

    Mark Lawrenson

It is usually Brighton who struggle to score a second goal to finish games off, but they did that in impressive style to beat Leeds last week.

Instead, it is Wolves who are finding goals hard to come by - they have managed two in the same game only once in their past 10 matches.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side are basically waiting for the season to end, and it has been a disappointing one for them.

I am going with Brighton to win here. They are basically safe now and, because of that, they might play with a bit of freedom.

    Lawro's prediction: 0-2

Terrific fun for Burnley fans and neutrals the last time the BBC live cameras were at Molineux two weeks ago.

An awful day for Wolves as they sunk to their heaviest home Premier League defeat since March 2012.

Surely they won't freeze in front of the nation again?

Landlova: A bad season for Wolves. Weak team after losing top striker and selling two major players - but replaced with far weaker players. Wolves need to make some serious changes or face relegation next season.

  19. Plenty to play forpublished at 11:17 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Wolves v Brighton (12:00 BST)

Wolves and Brighton still have plenty to play for.

Brighton are still not mathematically safe although a first win at Molineux since 2017 will change all that.

Wolves, 12th in the table, have pride to play for. This season has not gone the way Nuno Espirito Santo had hoped but at least they can look forward to a fourth straight season in the Premier League.

Pretty Vacant: Wolves are mathematically safe. I was pleased they at least showed some grit and determination in the last game against West Brom unlike the previous week against Burnley. Fosun have given out signals for backing next season. Let's see over the summer.
