A few goals have been scored in some of the matches not affecting the relegation picture.

Josh Koroma swept in a free-kick to give Huddersfield the lead at Reading but the Royals levelled it up pretty quickly through a Michael Olise penalty.

Jordan Shipley has given Coventry City the lead at home against Millwall while James Garner has hit a decent long-range effort to put Nottingham Forest 1-0 up against Preston.

Wycombe still fight on. Fred Onyedinma's got the all important goal, but they just need what, 11, 12 goals?!

Gareth Ainsworth will make sure his team give their everything.

They'll fight to the end, they always do.

Firstly, thankfully Martyn Waghorn seems to be OK because that was a heck of a thud he made colliding with the post.

Secondly, not that this game needs it, but the delay has just added some extra jeopardy as we're now likely to finish behind the match in South Wales.

GOAL: Middlesbrough 0-1 Wycombepublished at 12:48 British Summer Time 8 May 2021

    Fred Onyedinma (14 mins)

Wycombe hit the front on Teesside.

The Chairboys have been on the back foot for most of the game and then Fred Onyedinma is released one-on-one with Jordan Archer.

The winger shows composure to dink over the Boro keeper.

Wycombe just need another 12 goals. And one for Sheffield Wednesday. And a Cardiff equaliser.

    Cardiff 0-1 Rotherham

Lewis Wing has had another attempt at the Cardiff goal, but has fired over the bar.

A moment of quality from the on-loan midfielder has given the Millers hope of survival.

Sheffield Wednesday have had countless opportunities to bring that six-point deficit back.

They have an unbelievable squad, there's some exceptional talent there and they wouldn't have expected to have been where they are at this point of the season.

  7. CLOSE!published at 12:45 British Summer Time 8 May 2021

    Derby 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Almost an opener for Derby as Martyn Waghorn gets on the end of a flick-on from Nathan Byrne's corner.

But the experienced forward sends his header wide from point-blank range and then clatters into the post himself.

That looked fairly nasty, and he'll need some treatment.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Wycombe

Not masses to report from the Riverside so far.

Marvin Johnson sent an early effort over the Wycombe bar.

The visitors need to go goal-crazy. They need 13, and other results to help them too.

    What a goal.

    Derby 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Owls playmaker Barry Bannan has sent a shot wide of the Derby post.

With Rotherham winning, victory wouldn't even be good enough to keep Wednesday up.

Oh my gosh! What a finish. Edge of the box, Lewis Wing, wow.

There's still loads of football to be played but I'm sure that goal will have filtered back to Pride Park.

It was an absolutely fabulous piece of footballing brilliance.

It's a perfect start for them and they can't be sitting back now.

    Ian Woodcock

That was a big old challenge between Wednesday's Callum Paterson and Derby's Jason Knight a couple of minutes ago.

It's a slick surface out there so I feel like we could see a few more like that today.

No indication yet that either of the coaching teams know the Rotherham score at the moment.

    Lewis Wing (8 mins)

    Here we go.

First blood in the relegation battle goes to Rotherham.

A brilliant strike by Lewis Wing puts the visitors ahead.

It's a sensational first-time volley from 25 yards which flies into the bottom right-hand corner just inside the post.

As results stand, the Millers are staying up and Derby are in the relegation zone.

How quickly will word filter through to Pride Park?

    Derby 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday have an early free-kick into their box to defend, but the offside is up against the Rams.

Mike Dean is the man in charge at Pride Park today. We all know he loves a red card...

Can Rotherham put in one final effort to stay up and avoid a fifth season of yo-yoing between the Championship and League One?

The Millers have only won one of their past 11 games during a punishing schedule.

    Derby 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday will have to buck their recent trend if they are to survive today.

The Owls have lost eight of their past nine away games.

Jordan Rhodes leads the line for the visitors, who have four victories on the road this season.

It's the final day of the season and I'm sure it's going to bring up some surprises.

Pressure can lead to mistakes, and you don't want to be the one to make a mistake.

The final day's games are getting under way.

Only one of Derby, Rotherham, Sheffield Wednesday and Wycombe will be playing in the Championship next season.

Who can seize the moment? Who will be found wanting?

We'll bring you the odd update from elsewhere, but our attention is mostly on the relegation battle.

  20. Teams outpublished at 12:29 British Summer Time 8 May 2021

No time for pre-match nerves now, as the relegation contenders make their way onto the pitch.

Derby boss Wayne Rooney says their relegation shootout with Sheffield Wednesday at Pride Park ranks alongside any game he has been involved with.

For Manchester United and England's record goalscorer, a man used to winning league titles and Champions League and World Cup games, that's some statement.
