But for now, we'll leave Norwich City and others to carry on their title and promotion celebrations plus a few others to relax after securing survival.

Until then - thanks for being with us.

No side is official down yet despite at one stage this afternoon all three being on the verge of the drop.

Wycombe would need the most dramatic of snookers to pull themselves out of the bottom three from here while Rotherham's game in hand at Luton in midweek will be crucial before they face Cardiff City next weekend.

However that goes will go a long way to determining how many plot lines are involved in the meeting of Derby County and Sheffield Wednesday at Pride Park.

    • Southend United have been relegated despite a 2-1 win away to Barrow.

Well, well....A few key issues resolved this afternoon and a few right at the bitter end of a few games.

Let's round them up for you with the headlines....

  8. NORTHAMPTON RELEGATED FROM LEAGUE ONEpublished at 17:01 British Summer Time 1 May 2021
    Breaking

    Northampton 0-3 Blackpool

A heavy home defeat for last season's League Two play-offs winners means they will be playing back in the fourth tier next season.

  9. FULL-TIMEpublished at 17:00 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

    Wycombe Wanderers 1-0 Bournemouth

    Wycombe still fighting (just)....

It's almost a done deal for them despite another win with a vastly-inferior goal difference and the fact that both Derby and Sheffield Wednesday face each other on the last day.

  10. goal

GOAL Bolton 1-2 Exeterpublished at 17:00 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

    Pierce Sweeney (90+6 mins)

My word. Bolton will have to wait for promotion from League Two as Pierce Sweeney heads in a winner for Exeter deep, deep, deep into stoppage time.

  11. SOUTHEND RELEGATED FROM LEAGUE TWOpublished at 16:58 British Summer Time 1 May 2021
    Breaking

    Barrow 1-2 Southend

Southend did all they could. Only two wins from their final two games was going to give them a chance if other results went their way.

But a win for Colchester and draw for Scunthorpe means they are relegated to the National League for the first time in their history.

  12. ROCHDALE RELEGATED FROM LEAGUE ONEpublished at 16:57 British Summer Time 1 May 2021
    Breaking

    Rochdale 1-2 Doncaster

All over for Rochdale. That late goal from Matty Done was not enough. They are down.

  13. PETERBOROUGH ARE PROMOTED TO THE CHAMPIONSHIPpublished at 16:57 British Summer Time 1 May 2021
    Breaking

    Peterborough 3-3 Lincoln

    What a finish for Peterborough!

They were 3-0 down to Lincoln early in the second half, but what a comeback to claim the point they needed to secure promotion from League One.

  14. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

    Rotherham United 1-1 Blackburn Rovers

Rotherham come away with what could be a huge point thanks to Lewis Wing's late equaliser from a free-kick.

They are three points adrift of safety still with two games to play.

  15. goal

GOAL Peterborough 3-3 Lincolnpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

    Jonson Clarke-Harris (90+6 mins pen)

    Massive, massive, massive.

Peterborough have a penalty with what is just about the last kick of the game and top scorer Jonson Clarke-Harris slots it home.

Posh are winning promotion today from 3-0 down.

  16. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

    Preston 2-0 Barnsley

Preston take three points against Barnsley who slip to defeat on their travels at Deepdale.

  17. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

QPR secure an away win thanks to Charlie Austin and Osman Kakay's goals.

  18. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

    Huddersfield Town 1-1 Coventry City

Huddersfield get the poont they needed to secure safety.

Danny Ward cancels out Jordan Shipley's goal.

  19. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

    Luton 1- 1 Middlesbrough

Two goals in as many minutes for either side provided a spark of energy to a dull first half, but the points are shared.

  20. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

    Millwall 4-1 Bristol City

A convincing win for Millwall against a Bristol City side who never threatened in the game.
