    FT: Raith Rovers 0-3 Dundee

Dundee manager James McPake tells BBC Scotland: "We came here with a game plan, I think it worked.

"I'm delighted for my players. Raith are a good side. It's only half-time in the tie. We'll be back in tomorrow and work on the stuff that wasn't so great.

"Charlie [Adam] is excellent. He's been through a lot. He loves this football club."

Charlie Adam is the difference, isn't he? The quality he has brought to the game is the main difference between the sides. You cannot underestimate how important he is. Those passes were world class

  4. 'There's life in the old dog' - Adampublished at 21:42 British Summer Time 12 May 2021

    FT: Raith Rovers 0-3 Dundee

Dundee captain Charlie Adam tells BBC Scotland "there's life in the old dog" after a fantastic man of the match performance.

"We're halfway there," Adam adds. "The next goal is massive in the second leg. If Raith get it, it's game on.

"We played very well tonight. We've hit form at the right time. I've tried to use my experience from my time at Blackpool. We were magnificent."

  5. FULL-TIME - Raith Rovers 0-3 Dundeepublished at 21:35 British Summer Time 12 May 2021

A Jordan McGhee brace and an Osman Sow finish surely has Dundee in the Premiership play-off final.

Raith had a Reghan Tumilty goal unfairly disallowed just before the break at 1-0. The game might've been different had that stood but that can't take anything away from Dundee's superb display.

BBC Scotland pundit Michael Stewart awards Charlie Adam with the man of the match award.

Easiest decision anyone on planet earth has ever had to make. Don't know if I've said this already but he's been quite good at kicking the football about tonight.

Neat build-up from the visitors results in Paul McGowan guiding a shot with the outside of his foot towards goal, but Jamie MacDonald saves it easily enough.

Straight up the other end, Jamie Gullan tries his luck with an ambitious effort wide on the left, but it flashes past the top-right corner.

    Osman Sow

That's surely that. Another long-range inch-perfect pass from Charlie Adam finds Max Anderson on the break. The teenager finds substitute Sow who finishes high into the top-left corner.

What a performance from the away side.

Dundee have controlled this game superbly since the second goal.

James McPake will be absolutely delighted with his side. Just over seven minutes for the hosts to get a goal back.

Danny Mullen looks to kill off the tie with a close-range free-kick but he curls it over the wall and the bar.

Quite gutted Charlie Adam didn't hit it to be honest!

Liam Fontaine, who returned to the side tonight after a short spell out with a hamstring injury, makes way with what looks like a similar injury as Max Anderson comes on to replace.

That's a chance for the home side.

Lewis Vaughan breaks down the left and cuts a ball back to Gozie Ugwu, but the substitute can't direct his finish on target from the edge of the area.

First changes of the night as Jason Cummings makes way for Danny Mullen.

The home side also make a switch as Gozie Ugwu replaces Brad Spencer. Attacking move from John McGlynn.

    Raith Rovers 0-2 Dundee

That second goal has acted as a Canelo body shot to Raith.

Any zip they had in their play has seriously dwindled since the away side doubled their advantage and James McPake's side are controlling things. They might fancy finishing this tonight.

    Jordan McGhee

    Charlie Adam. Again. Wow.

It's another outrageous assist from the Dundee captain as he curls a low ball from his own half into the path of McGhee, who charges into the box and slides a tidy finish past Jamie MacDonald.

The home side are seeing a lot of the ball early in this second half but, similar to the first period, there's no end product.

More urgency and cutting edge is required from John McGlynn's men.

Really can't help but admire the way Raith play their football.

Not often you see this level of confidence in possession from a second-tier side. They have to make it count in this second half, though...

Raith fans, I'm sorry to bring it up again but that offside call from Reghan Tumilty's disallowed goal gets worse the more I see it.

Doesn't bear thinking about what impact that could have in the final outcome of this...
