Cliftonville are the home side and have a good record in the play-offs but Paddy McLaughlin will know his side have a couple of more gears in them, Crusaders have been the livelier side and have created the two best chances.

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:21 British Summer Time 1 June 2021

    Cliftonville 0-0 Crusaders

No goals but a very watchable first 45 minutes at Solitude.

The visitors have had the lion's share of the chances on offer and Stephen Baxter might be a tad disappointed that Crusaders haven't opened their account.

Cliftonville boss Paddy McLaughlin will undoubtedly be looking for more of an attacking threat from his side after the break

  5. No joy for Jordanpublished at 20:19 British Summer Time 1 June 2021

    Cliftonville 0-0 Crusaders

Wow! As clear-cut chances go, you won't see many more gilt edged than this.

Ben Kennedy produces a sumptuous cross from a left-wing free kick and Jordan Forsythe meets it with a thundering header but just too high.

Forsythe ends up in the net - the ball, crucially, does not.

    Larne 1-1 Glenavon

It's all square at the interval at Inver Park after Daniel Purkis scored for Glenavon in the fifth minute and David McDaid restored parity less than three minutes later.

It has been a keenly fought contest with both sides showing enterprise and bags of endeavour.

Here's hoping for more on the resumption.

What a goal that would have been for Crusaders!

Ben Kennedy gets to the bye-line and cuts the ball back behind Paul Heatley but the winger pivots in mid-air and his overhead kick flashes narrowly wide.

The Crusaders fans behind that goal thought that one was in!

I know we haven't had any goals but it's a great game, really entertaining and both teams are really going at it. That's just what we want to see.

Things have settled down somewhat after that rather frantic start as both sides put together some nice passages of play.

Entertaining stuff so far as the two teams really go at it.

Easy to see how much is at stake.

  13. Crusaders looking livelypublished at 19:55 British Summer Time 1 June 2021

    Cliftonville 0-0 Crusaders

Another half-chance for Crusaders as David Cushley plays in Ben Kennedy but he drags a tame right-footed effort wide of the post.

Had that been on the former Stevenage player's more favoured left foot, it might well have produced a different outcome but once again, Crusaders will be boosted by the approach play.

  14. Postpublished at 19:51 British Summer Time 1 June 2021

    Larne 1-1 Glenavon

Mark Randall sends David McDaid through on goal with a slide-rule pass but the flag goes up for offside.

That was a brilliant piece of play from Randall and a clever run from McDaid. Deserved more.

Little more than 10 minutes played and we've already had two players shedding blood for the cause.

First it was Crusaders' David Cushley and now Cliftonville's Jamie Harney is in need of a patch-up job.

  17. CLOSE!published at 19:45 British Summer Time 1 June 2021

    Larne 1-1 Glenavon

Some mayhem in the Glenavon defence almost results in a second for Larne and a second for David McDaid but his drive is cleared off the line.

The visitors were lucky to get away with that one.

  18. CLOSE!published at 19:44 British Summer Time 1 June 2021

    Cliftonville 0-0 Crusaders

Paul Heatley's corner is met with a commanding header from Billy Joe Burns but the defender's effort is just a couple of feet too high.

Crusaders boss Stephen Baxter will be pleased with his side's opening.

GOALpublished at 19:42 British Summer Time 1 June 2021

    Larne 1-1 Glenavon

Glenavon's lead lasts less than two minutes as David McDaid pops up with the equaliser.

Ronan Hale's shot from Martin Donnelly's corner was cleared off the line but McDaid fired the rebound low into the bottom corner to draw the home side level.

We said we were looking for excitement at Inver Park and we have certainly got it early on!

  20. Off the line!published at 19:40 British Summer Time 1 June 2021

    Cliftonville 0-0 Crusaders

Glorious chance for Crusaders as Gary Thompson's clever through ball releases Jamie McGonigle who clips the ball beyond keeper Aaron McCarey but defender Jamie Harney gets back to make a marvellous goal-line clearance.

From Paul Heatley's follow-up effort, Chris Curran throws his body in front of the ball to deflect it away from goal.

Heroic defending from the home side.
