Former Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier on BBC Radio 5 Live: For the first 15 minutes of the second half, Atletico will be happy to keep things the same and look to hit Man City on the break. At about 65 minutes, I am sure Carrasco will come in and Atletico will go toe to toe with City. Simeone will be happy at 0-0 at half-time.

Man City have been very, very comfortable in this first half, but it only takes a moment. The issue Atletico have is when they do throw numbers forward they look really vulnerable when Man City win the ball back.

Man City are halfway there but will they rue that miss from Gundogan? Atletico will be satisfied.
