It is Sadio Mane who is causing the problem for Real Madrid. The defenders do not know whether to go tight on him or not.

Liverpool (138) have committed the most fouls of all clubs in this season's Champions League, while Real Madrid players have been fouled the most (149).

He is going to have to have a big night Courtois. I think he has been Real Madrid's best player this season.

Thibaut Courtois is having a great game here. Sadio Mane wriggles free on the edge of the box and then hammers in a shot. Courtois is at full strength to tip it onto the post. The ball rolls across the line but the right side for Real.

Liverpool's creativity and movement down that right-hand side has been impressive early on.

Real Madrid looked on the ropes against PSG... then against Chelsea... and certainly against Manchester City.

It was great play from Trent Alexander-Arnold but he just pulled it back that bit too much.

Brilliant save by Thibaut Courtois to deny Mohamed Salah the opener. Trent Alexander-Arnold puts in a cross to Salah, who pokes the ball towards the bottom corner but big man Courtois gets down low to save.

Now it's a more routine save to deny Thiago's 20-yard effort.
