Three Lions eye first major final for 55 years

England are preparing to face Denmark in the semi-finals of Euro 2020 at Wembley on Wednesday, knowing victory will secure them a place in a major men's tournament final for the first time since 1966.
Gareth Southgate's side will face Italy in Sunday's final if they defeat the Danes in front of around 60,000 mostly England fans at Wembley.
"We don't have as good a football history as we like to believe sometimes," said Southgate. "These players are making massive strides and breaking down barriers all the time.
"We have never been to a European Championship final so we can be the first England team to do that which is really exciting."

Gareth Southgate missed the decisive penalty the last time England reached the semi-finals of the Euros in 1996, losing to Germany.
He was then manager as England were beaten by Croatia in the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup.

'Mad few days' recording Southgate tribute

Atomic Kitten's Natasha Hamilton has had a whirlwind week, recording and performing the Gareth Southgate tribute 'Whole Again'.
She told BBC Radio 5 Live's Rachel Burden: "We only re-recorded the song on Monday evening. It's been a mad few days but lots of fun.
"We've just got everything crossed for the boys."

"I just fancied Italy because I looked at all of the figures over the last two years and Italy have been a very strong team. I couldn't believe that they were tipped as sixth or seventh favourites.

Raheem Sterling's former mentor Clive Ellington has been describing the first time he saw Sterling play.
Talking to BBC Radio 5 Live's Rachel Burden, he said: "I saw this little three-foot, four-foot nothing, genius in the playground, just gracefully running amongst players."
Sterling wasn't playing for a club at the time so Clive took him to his club, Alpha & Omega FC.
"All our coaches just stood there in awe of what we were watching. It's a memory you just can't forget," said Clive.
