It has been hard fought. Really good stuff, entertaining, end to end, plenty of tackles. It hasn't disappointed at all.

Spurs' resurgence under Conte is continuing but West Ham are looking a threat and it's really well poised for the second half.

Very hard for Gomez to come back into the Liverpool side from cold as the senior centre half, but he's playing his way out of a Real Madrid move here...

    Brentford 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea are bossing possession but haven't been able to seriously test Brentford's keeper... until now.

Harvey Vale is completely unmarked but his header is kept out by Alvaro Fernandez.

There was a shout for a penalty earlier when Marcos Alonso went down in the box but Andre Marriner waved away their appeals.

Kepa is making a rare start in goal and has made three fine saves - the latest after Rico Henry got in behind the defence.

    Brentford 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea's Kepa has definitely been the busier keeper so far, denying Rico Henry this time.

Xavier Simons has a chance for Chelsea but Alvaro Fernandez denies him.

    Brentford 0-0 Chelsea

Chance for Brentford but Kepa is equal to Mathias Jensen's header.

  13. 'Moyes expects better'published at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2021

    Spurs 2-1 West Ham

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

David Moyes must be furious, he expects better from his players.

Masuaku just can't deal with Bergwijn and gets out-muscled by the Dutchman. He cuts it back, great run from Moura, into where it hurts, and side-foots it under Areola.

This is a brilliant game, you don't want this first half to end.

  14. Maddison's hot streakpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2021

    Liverpool 1-3 Leicester

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Anfield

That's five goals in seven games now for James Maddison.

Some strike it was as well, taking full advantage of the ricochet off Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

    Decent first half this.

  15. goal

GOAL - Liverpool 1-3 Leicesterpublished at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2021

    James Maddison (33 mins)

What a goal! The ball bounces up kindly for James Maddison who hits a wonderful half-volley from almost 30 yards which flies past the keeper.

  16. goal

GOAL - Spurs 2-1 West Hampublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2021

    Lucas Moura (34 mins)

    Wow. Spurs lead again.

Steven Bergwijn shows quick feet to break into the box and get towards the byeline before cutting it back for Lucas Moura to score from six yards.

  17. goal

GOAL - Spurs 1-1 West Hampublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2021

    Jarrod Bowen (32 mins)

This game has exploded into life.

Nikola Vlasic blasts in a wayward shot which reaches Jarrod Bowen in the box. A brilliant shimmy makes a fool of Eric Dier and he hammers a shot past Hugo Lloris.

That move started from a poor Dier clearance being intercepted.

  18. 'Really good play'published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2021

    Spurs 1-0 West Ham

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

A really well-worked goal, really good play. Bergwijn using his strength, his body, West Ham didn't get out quick enough, they just stayed around the 18-yard box.

It was a really good run from Hojbjerg and he cuts it back to Bergwijn, who finishes it quite awkwardly to be honest but it's on target.

  19. Postpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2021

    Spurs 1-0 West Ham

West Ham go close to an immediate equaliser but Tomas Soucek's glancing header is saved by Hugo Lloris.

And again. This time it's a looping header from Soucek which is tipped over the bar by Lloris.

From the corner Craig Dawson heads wide.

  20. goal

GOAL - Spurs 1-0 West Hampublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2021

    Steven Bergwijn (29 mins)

Lovely goal and Spurs are ahead.

Steven Bergwijn holds up the ball well in the box and finds Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Hojbjerg takes a couple of touches and finds Bergwijn in space and the Dutchman makes no mistake.
