    Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

Lucas Moura fizzes a pass out to Tanguy Ndombele and the substitute never quite gets it under control. Spurs are trying to get the midfielder into the game.

    Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

Chelsea have managed to take the sting out of that faster start to the second half from Tottenham and are enjoying plenty of the ball again.

Hakim Ziyech's low ball from the right is met by Saul, but he can't coax an effort on target.

  3. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

Timo Werner is looking to stretch the Spurs defence, he goes a little too early though and the flag is up.

    Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

Tanguy Ndombele finds some space on the edge of the box and fancies his chances, but skies an effort high and wide.

  5. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

Lovely turn from Timo Werner, finding Romelu Lukaku who then helps it on to Hakim Ziyech.

He steadies himself, but curls an effort straight at Hugo Lloris.

  6. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

A little flick on target from Romelu Lukaku but it's comfortable for Hugo Lloris.

  7. Postpublished at 51 mins

    Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

Tanguy Ndombele has barely featured under Antonio Conte - apart from in the draw with Liverpool - but that extra man in midfield seems to be allowing Spurs more of the ball.

Saul slides in to make a great tackle on Son Heung-min, who was trying to create space for a shot.

  8. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

Harry Kane stands over it. And forces Kepa into a low save! Decent strike.

Tanguy Ndombele is brought down on the edge of the Chelsea box. A chance to have a dig for Tottenham...

  10. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

Another cross from the right for Spurs but another that doesn't find a team-mate - more intent already from Antonio Conte's side after the break, though.

  11. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

Almost. Lucas Moura's cross from the right looks to be dropping on to the head of Son Heung-min, but Cesar Azpilicueta does superbly to get across.

    Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

Tottenham didn't have a shot in the first half, never mind one on target.

Unless Antonio Conte's made several signings during the half-time break, it's hard to see how the visitors can get back into this one. Chelsea were far superior in the first half.

Trevor Durham: A truly dreadful half of football from Tottenham. The only question would seem to be how are we not 3 or 4 down? Conte certainly has his work cut out.

Jan: There's a difference between working hard and intelligently off the ball, and running around like headless chickens. Tottenham are the latter.

Tarquind Duvall: awful half, Doherty backing off, Emerson losing the ball and Hojberg hiding. At least its a Transfer window, Levy watching???

    Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Spurs have got an outstanding front three who haven't touched the ball.

I'd take off a wing-back and put Sergio Reguilon on the left. I've seen Emerson Royal, people let him have the ball, he doesn't get crosses in. Conte could even put Lucas Moura at wing-back.

It should be all over because Lukaku had a great chance. If that goes in for 3-0 there's no way back for Tottenham.

They're missing Eric Dier, he's the main man in the back three.

    Karen Carney
Former Chelsea midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

So far it's been total dominance. Not even a shot from Spurs, they've been really disappointing. Credit to Thomas Tuchel for changing to a back four and completely dominating the flanks.

You expect a reaction, to see Antonio Conte make changes tactically. There's plenty of time for them to get back into it.

    Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

After the full-throttle madness of Sunday's draw with Liverpool, Chelsea have barely had to get out of first gear to take full control at Stamford Bridge this evening.

    Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

Lucas Moura decides he might have to do it all by himself, but Chelsea have numbers back.

    And that's the break.
