  4. Hanlon out for Hibspublished at 18:05 British Summer Time 12 August 2021

    Rijeka v Hibernian (1-1, 19:00)

A blow for Hibs with news that captain Paul Hanlon misses out.

The defender played on with a bandaged napper after an early clash of heads in last week's first leg but only lasted 45 minutes at the weekend.

    Stalwart Darren McGregor steps in.

Kevin Nisbet returns up front for Christian Doidge in the other change from Sunday's 3-0 Scottish Premiership win over Ross County.

Doidge is not on the bench, which is another worry since he's the kind of guy the manager would look to if he needs to go chasing the game.

  7. Another Euro-tastic Thursdaypublished at 18:00 British Summer Time 12 August 2021

We’re in for a busy night of European action with no fewer than four Scottish clubs in action across the Europa League and Conference League.

    • St Johnstone v Galatasaray (1-1) (19:00)
    • Rijeka v Hibernian (1-1) (19:00)
    • Celtic v Jablonec (4-2) (19:45)
    • Aberdeen v Breidablik (3-2) (19:45)

Celtic and Aberdeen are in strong positions after first leg wins away from home, while St Johnstone have given themselves a great chance of causing a major upset after last week’s draw in Istanbul.

Hibs fans might be a bit worried since their team really should be protecting a lead in Croatia after missing some good chances at Easter Road.

With so much going on, let’s have some team news…
