    Reading 0-0 Peterborough

Almost half an hour gone in Reading, and Royals keeper Luke Southwood has just been called into a save.

A loose ball drops to Siriki Dembele, who rifles goalwards from outside the area. Southwood palms clear.

That's Posh's best chance of the evening so far. Perhaps the hosts won't miss Rafael Cabral too much...

Elliott: “This is absolutely dire. Not fit enough for League 2."

Steve: “Awful game so far. If anything Hull look to be growing into the game more."

Blackburn fans sounding very unimpressed with their side's performance against Hull so far...

    Sheff Utd 1-1 Preston

Iliman Ndiaye made a great full league debut for the Blades on Saturday with two goals in the 6-2 win over Peterborough.

He looks to tee up Billy Sharp but his pass doesn't quite find the veteran.

    West Brom 0-0 Derby

    All West Brom just now.

The visitors are hanging on so far but it feels like just a matter of time until the home side take the lead.

    Blackburn 0-0 Hull

Rovers threaten now, as Tyrhys Dolan cuts inside from the left and curls at goal from 20 yards out, but his effort is turned behind by a fine save from Tigers keeper Matt Ingram.

    The corner comes to nothing.

    West Brom 0-0 Derby

West Brom were a bit underwhelming in their home draw with Millwall on Saturday and they'll be looking to put that right this evening.

Grady Diangana's acrobatic effort deflects wide as he looks to break the deadlock.

  10. Postpublished at 20:23 British Summer Time 14 September 2021

    Blackpool 0-0 Huddersfield

The home side starting to get on top here.

Shayne Lavery, who has been in excellent form this season, should do better with a header from Luke Garbutt's corner.

    Dominic Solanke (37 mins)

Bournemouth double their lead before the break and it's Dominic Solanke on his 24th birthday.

The striker bags his fifth goal of the season following a good team goal.

Solanke gets the ball on the edge of the box, pings it out wide to Jaidon Anthony and converts a low ball back into the middle from the winger. The R's defence couldn't deal with his movement.

Solanke has now been involved in 15 goals in his past 18 league outings for the Cherries.

  12. League One and Two updatepublished at 20:21 British Summer Time 14 September 2021

Michael Smith went close earlier but he was obviously just finding his range as he's just struck the opener to put Rotherham ahead against Lincoln after diverting Freddie Ladapo's cross home.

Sutton have also gone ahead against Hartlepool in League Two thanks to Ben Goodliffe's 25th-minute strike.

We're still waiting for a goal in Newport where the Welshmen are facing Northampton.

    Reading 0-0 Peterborough

Posh keeper Christy Pym is called into action at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

After a decent Reading move, Tom Dele-Bashiru turns and strikes at goal but Pym repels his deflected effort.

    Blackpool 0-0 Huddersfield

Huddersfield winger Sorba Thomas won August's payer of the month award for the Championship with a handful of assists and a goal.

His delivery from deadball situations is normally really dangerous but this free-kick is far too close to home goalkeeper Chris Maxwell and the opportunity is gone.

    West Brom 0-0 Derby

    Big chance for the hosts.

Karlan Grant's ball falls into the path of Semi Ajayi but the big defender sees his effort cleared off the line by Rams defender Curtis Davies.

    Blackburn 0-0 Hull

Midway through the first half at Ewood Park, and there's not been much goalmouth action.

Matt Smith has had a shot deflected wide for the Tigers. The visitors float the corner to the back post and Richie Smallwood, but the offside flag is up.

  19. League One and Two updatepublished at 20:07 British Summer Time 14 September 2021

Three games across the two divisions tonight but we're yet to see the opening goal.

In the sole League One fixture Rotherham's Michael Smith went closest to opening the scoring against Lincoln but goalkeeper Josh Griffiths made a fine point-blank save to keep it goalless.

In League Two, Newport against Northampton and Sutton's home game against Hartlepool are both 0-0.

  20. goal

GOAL: Sheff Utd 1-1 Prestonpublished at 20:06 British Summer Time 14 September 2021

    Daniel Johnson (19 mins)

    Oh dear, oh dear.

I said earlier that Sheffield United are giving a debut to goalkeeper Robin Olsen and he has lost his clean sheet in pretty embarrassing fashion.

Ryan Ledson sends a deep ball over the home defence that Daniel Johnson gets on to and Olsen is totally out of position, leaving Johnson with a pretty simple task of rounding the Sweden international and rolling a finish in.
