Wins for the home sides in both of today's Women's Super League games as Arsenal beat Chelsea in a thriller earlier.

All over and Brighton are up and running with a win!

For West Ham it is defeat but there are positives - they were the better side before the sending off changed the game.

Three minutes of time added on and we are ticking away the seconds with Brighton in no doubt of taking the win now.

Just a couple of minutes to go and the pace of this game has dropped considerably after a lively first half.

Brighton are notching up the corner count with another late on. The ball is sent in with pace but West Ham pack out the box and clear.

All Brighton though in these closing stages.

Just under 10 minutes to go and it would take something remarkable for West Ham to get something from this.

Meanwhile, Aileen Whelan also goes off for Brighton with Emily Simpkins on in her place.

Danielle Carter has had a solid debut and a goal would cap it off. She's not far off as she turns well on the edge of the area but flashes an effort just wide.

Decent effort by Claudia Walker as she gets onto a loose ball in the Brighton defence but the first-time shot is just over the bar.

That would have made for an interesting final 15 minutes or so.

A change for Brighton as captain Victoria Williams is replaced in the defence by Felicity Gibbons.

Just over 20 minutes remaining and Brighton are in control.

Lisa Evans is up all alone for West Ham and she is going to have to do this all by herself. She does well to get a shot off but it is always going wide.

Ooooh, a close offside for Danielle Carter as she is onto a ball through the West Ham defence. A great first touch takes her in on goal but the flag is up quickly.

Another booking! Abbey-Leigh Stringer this time for West Ham after sliding in late.

Chelsea boss Emma Hayes in her post-match press conference: “We scored two goals at the Emirates and had 15 shots so created chances but you can’t concede three goals and expect to win games."

And another substitute in the book as Kate Longhurst is cautioned for a late challenge.

Maisie Symonds is shown a yellow after pretty much her first touch of the ball as she knocks an opponent off it to gain possession. Seemed a bit harsh to warrant a booking to me.

A change for Brighton as goalscorer Lee Geum-min makes way for Maisie Symonds with 10 minutes gone in this second half.

West Ham are playing with a high line now as they try and catch out Brighton further up the pitch and get a goal back.

The problem is it leaves them somewhat exposed as well at the back and Danielle Carter has the ball inside the West Ham half with not many opposition players in front of her but she goes for an optimistic effort from over 25 yards that the keeper saves easily.

Good response by West Ham as Claudia Walker carries the ball forward from midway inside the Brighton half and has a go from distance. It's ambitious but not far off!

Brighton are immediately on the front foot as a loose ball in midfield is pounced upon and the ball is worked to Inessa Kaagman on the edge of the area. The Dutch midfielder tries to bend a shot into the far corner but it goes wide.
