For all Celtic deserve their lead, it might have been all so different had Joe Hart's toe not denied Vangelis Pavlidis when the scores were level early on.
The Greek striker must have thought he had scored on his first AZ start until the goalkeeper turned it on to the inside of the post and it rolled along the line and back into his arms.

Kyogo Furuhashi's sixth goal in six games for Celtic hands them a deserved half-time edge in this Europa League play-off first leg.
AZ were first to come close, when Joe Hart turned Vangelis Pavlidis effort on to the inside of the post from close range.
Since that and a few other early nervous moments, Celtic have been the dominant force.

The game has certainly turned on that goal and the Dutch are on the ropes now.
Goalkeeper Hobie Verhulst makes a good double save, blocking from Liel Abada and then beating clear Tom Rogic's shot from the rebound.
