  1. Close!published at 2 mins

    Wales 0-0 Greece

Wales waste no time pushing forward. Jess Fishlock collects a long ball before Rhiannon Roberts is released down the right.

Her cross eventually falls to the feet of Angharad James on the edge of the area and her shot is dragged just wide.

    Good start for Wales.

  2. KICK-OFFpublished at 1 min

    Wales 0-0 Greece

Henrikke Nervik of Norway blows her whistle, both teams take the knee, and Eleni Markou of Greece gets the game under way.

    Michael is not joking.

The rain and hail is coming down hard in Llanelli.

A number of the Greek players were shivering as they sang their national anthem.

The Welsh players however seem all too used to these condition.

    Kick-off is second away.

Having just returned from some winter sun (yes I know, poor me) I can empathise with how the Greek players might be feeling tonight at a freezing cold Parc Y Scarlets.

The weather in Llanelli is horrendous, with amber weather warnings bringing torrential rain, some snow and strong winds.

    The Mediterranean this is not.

Greece could not have picked a more Welsh wintery night to visit for a big game, that will surely play into Wales' hands?

    Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

  5. Wales to be 'ruthless' against Greecepublished at 19:12 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2021

    Wales v Greece (19:15 GMT)

Turning our attentions back to the game this evening, and Wales manager Gemma Grainger says her side are "looking to be ruthless" against Greece.

Much like the men's team, finishing as runners-up would give Wales a play-off berth as they chase a first major finals appearance.

You can read Grainger's thoughts, and those of captain Sophie Ingle, in the match preview here.

Rain is coming in sideways and the there is no escaping it in the press box.

I'm now sat in the row behind, on a case a colleague uses to transport radio equipment. This laptop is in so much danger it could be a character in Game of Thrones.

You can just about see how soaking our desk is from the bad photo.

Away from tonight's match it has been a difficult day for many, as today marks 10 years since Wales manager Gary Speed took his own life.

Speed left a sporting legacy which changed the course of Welsh football.

His death also had a further-reaching, deeper effect on how people view mental health and its impact.

BBC Sport Wales' Dafydd Pritchard has been speaking to some of those who knew Speed best to reflect on the last decade.
