If Celtic do go through, they've gotten away with it tonight. They've given away big goals and played themselves into a lot of trouble at times

    Craig Levein
Former Hearts manager on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

AZ obviously have identified that long diagonal ball as a way to possibly hurt Celtic. The away side's full-backs need to stay turned on and organised or it could cost them

    Aberdeen 0-2 Qarabag (agg 0-3)

Aberdeen wing-back Jonny Hayes forces Shakhrudin Magomedaliyev into a really good save.

From the resulting corner, Ross McCrorie flicks a header high into the sky. The defender should have got that one on target.

    Aberdeen 0-2 Qarabag (agg 0-3)

Midfielder Lewis Ferguson goes in the referee's book. Niggly fouls not helping Aberdeen.

I think this would be a confidence builder for Celtic to get out of this tie. It's a learning process for the manager too in European football as sometimes you have to adapt your style if you don't have the players

LASK head coach Dominik Thalhammer said it was horrible to play St Johnstone in the first leg, but he and his squad are enjoying the moment.

It's heartbreak for Callum Davidson's men as Husein Balic's close-range finish and Marko Raguz's penalty end Saints' Euro dream.

The home side gave themselves a mountain to climb when David Wotherspoon was sent off within a minute of coming on and finished the game with nine men after Shaun Rooney was shown a second yellow for the penalty decision.

Abdellah Zoubir cuts inside before smashing his shot well over the bar. The Qarabag striker's a tidy player. Not a great effort though.

It was a tough task with 11 men on the pitch. With nine men, it's impossible. They just never got that opening goal. Unfortunately, they've fallen short tonight

  16. CLOSE!published at 20:46 British Summer Time 26 August 2021

AZ Alkmaar 2-1 Celtic (agg 2-3)

Great work from Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard down the left as he holds the ball up under pressure then lays it off for Adam Montgomery to crack wide via a deflection.

Neat interplay on the edge of the box then results in Ryan Christie's shot flying over after taking a nick off an AZ player.

Kyogo Furuhashi isn't far away from latching on to the corner in the six-yard box.

    Promising stuff from the visitors.

There's not a great deal in it, but Rooney does pull him back. The referee has got that one correct

  19. Quality Qarabagpublished at 20:43 British Summer Time 26 August 2021

    HT: Aberdeen 0-2 Qarabag (agg:0-3)

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at McDiarmid Park

This is turning into a tough night at the office for Aberdeen. In truth, they have been outplayed, with Qarabag now looking very comfortable in their work.

It is a long way back for Aberdeen, but having created no real chances of note, it doesn't look the hosts can turn this one round.

The Dons need to find a way of stopping Qarabag hitting them on the break or it could be a very tough second half ahead.
