Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is demanding a reaction in Sunday's Premiership game against Aberdeen.

"To walk away tonight losing 4-0, all of us are disappointed in the dressing room - we need to have a reaction," he tells BT Sport.

"It shouldn’t have been a 4-0 game. We’ve got to be a stronger mentality towards the end of the game. Losing a fourth goal was completely unnecessary.

"We’ve got to keep persevering. We’ve had a number of injuries, we’ve had to rebuild the squad, it’s not surprising it’s taking time. But, within all that, it should be better."

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou says the difference between his side and Leverkusen was the quality of finishing from the German visitors.

"We had some great chances and the story was in both boxes," he tells BT Sport. "They were clinical, we were wasteful. We made some mistakes that you can't make at this level.

"Kyogo is disappointed. He’ll feel he should have done better in some situations. Their keeper’s pulled off some unbelievable saves. It’s good to have McGregor and Kyogo back, but it wasn’t enough tonight."

Tracking back to Group A, it is favourites Lyon in control of that one, with Rangers at the bottom.

Lyon built on their 2-0 opening-day win at Ibrox by wearing down Brondby for a 3-0 victory in France.

The Danes were level at the break, but two goals in seven minutes from Cameroon striker Karl Toko Ekambi were followed by a late third from Houssem Aouar.

Asked about Ange Postecoglou's attacking style of football, which has now conceded eight goals in two Europa League group games, captain Callum McGregor adds: "It’s a very, very high demanding style of football.

"It takes time for the players to understand where to move and when to move.

"In the defensive transition is where we have struggled. Everyone is together and everyone believes in what the manager is trying to do."

Callum McGregor was pleased to be back from injury for Celtic, but the captain has been left lamenting the missed chances that contributed to an unhappy finish against Leverkusen.

"It was a difficult game against a really high-level opponent," he tells BT Sport. "At this level, the game is decided in moments when you don't take your chances.

"I thought that was a theme of the game. We dominated the ball well, but in the moments that matter, we have to be better They have real quality and they can expose you on the counter-attack like they did."

Real Betis join Leverkusen at the top of Group G after their own convincing win in Hungary.

After Ferencvaros' Myrto Uzuni cancelled out Nabil Fekir's opener just before the break, an own goal from Henry Wingo restored the lead before a late settler from Cristian Tello.

Leverkusen and the Spaniards are now six points clear of Ferencvaros and Celtic.

Well, that was a complete downer for Scottish football.

Both of the country's so-called giants have been brought down to size and sit bottom of their respective Europa League group tables.

Rangers ended the early kick-off with 10 men in Czech Republic as they lost 1-0 to Sparta Prague before Celtic were thumped 4-0 at home to Leverkusen.

So much to do if either of the Old Firm sides are to recover and qualify for the knock-out stage.
