    HUGE deflection.

Riley McGree picks the ball up miles out and takes a gamble with a shot at goal.

His move pays off though with a Bristol City defender getting a toe to the ball to completely wrong-foot the goalkeeper.

    Soft goal.

    Millwall 0-0 Reading

Millwall are piling the pressure on Reading so far and Jed Wallace is once again giving the Royals plenty to think about.

He works the ball down the right and tries a low pass into the path of Benik Afobe but his effort goes into the stands behind the goal.

    Disaster for promotion-chasers Coventry.

Manchester United loanee Ethan Laird sprints forward into the box and Ronaldo-chops a defender before being taken out.

The officials play a great advantage though with the ball falling to Joel Piroe, whose deflected effort sails into the corner.

    Peterborough 0-0 Huddersfield

The hosts have started brightly here in Darren Ferguson's 500th game in charge of Peterborough.

Siriki Dembele tries his luck with an overhead kick inside the Huddersfield box but Terriers keeper Lee Nicholls saves.

    Millwall 0-0 Reading

Millwall are taking the game to Reading in these early stages with a succession of good passes between Benik Afobe, Murray Wallace and George Savile.

Reading keeper Luke Southwood puts in a fine save to keep out Jed Wallace's free-kick.

    What a start!

Jamie Paterson nets his sixth goal of the campaign, pouncing on a loose ball and slotting into the far corner.

Not great defending from the hosts, who are yet to lose a league game at home this season.

That record looks in danger already.

It's certainly getting chillier as the nights draw in so hopefully there's a fair few goals this evening to warm us up.

  13. An irregular fixturepublished at 19:41 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2021

    Peterborough v Huddersfield (19:45 GMT)

Peterborough take on Huddersfield tonight in a less than regular fixture in the Championship.

The last time these two teams met at Peterborough's home ground? October 2012, which resulted in a 3-1 Posh win.

Huddersfield have lost their past three away league games against Peterborough, with their last win in April 2005 under Peter Jackson.

And no, that's not the Lord of the Rings director of the same name...

It's fair to say Nottingham Forest did not have the greatest of starts to the season, but things have improved somewhat since Steve Cooper arrived at the City Ground.

Since Chris Hughton left the club in September, only leaders Bournemouth and Blackpool have picked up more points in the Championship.

Forest welcome Sheffield United tonight who are looking to put together two consecutive away wins for the first time since December 2019.

  15. Millwall hoping for six-game unbeaten run v Readingpublished at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2021

    Millwall v Reading (19:45 GMT)

Millwall take on Reading tonight with the Royals losing six of their past eight Championship games on the road.

The hosts welcome them having built up quite an impressive run against Reading at home in the recent past.

The Lions are unbeaten in their past five home games in the league against tonight's opponents.

Can they make that a six-game run?

  16. Wigan & Wycombe aim to go toppublished at 19:35 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2021

    League One preview

    Wigan celebrateImage source, Rex Features

Some might argue that the biggest games in the EFL tonight are in League One, where Wigan will almost certainly go top if they win at struggling Fleetwood.

However if they don't triumph, Wycombe will move into first place with victory over Ipswich.

And fourth-placed Rotherham will also move above current leaders Plymouth - who are not in league action tonight - if they triumph away at managerless Charlton, who have won their two games under caretaker Johnnie Jackson.

Two sleeping giants also meet at Hillsborough, with draw specialists Sheffield Wednesday hosting stuttering Sunderland.

You can see all seven fixtures here, and we'll be across all the key moments.

  17. Warnock set for record-breaking 1,602nd matchpublished at 19:32 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2021

'When you're my age, you do get labelled a dinosaur' - Warnock

Middlesbrough boss Neil Warnock is taking charge of a record-breaking 1,602nd match this evening as his side take on Luton.

He will overtake Dario Gradi's record of most games managing English league clubs during tonight's trip to Kenilworth Road.

The 72-year-old started coaching in the 1980s, and made Boro the 16th club of his career on arrival in June 2020.

"I'm very proud to have done this," Warnock told BBC Radio Tees.

"I didn't think I would. I owe a lot to Steve Gibson, because I wouldn't have carried on in football if he hadn't made that phone call.

"I had no idea about the record until two weeks ago, and someone has told me I've got another record coming up in about 14 or 15 league games.

"I've just got to keep my job for a few months and do the best I can."

  18. In-form Coventry welcome Swanseapublished at 19:30 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2021

    Coventry v Swansea (19:45 GMT)

Coventry may well be riding high in the Championship as it stands but they welcome Swansea this evening, with a poor record against the Welsh side.

The Sky Blues have failed to win against the Swans in their past 11 matches in the league - a run stretching to October 1981.

The hosts have, however, picked up 27 points from 15 games so far this term, which is their best start to a league campaign in 20 years.

Swansea travel to the CBS Arena with just one win under their belt in nine away league games, however.

  19. Blues aiming to keep up winning runpublished at 19:27 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2021

Birmingham v Bristol City (19:45 GMT)

Birmingham warm upImage source, PA Media

Having started well, then tailed off, Birmingham are back on a decent run of form in the Championship.

They come into tonight's match against Bristol City having won their past two matches on the trot, but if they pull off another win tonight, it will be the first time they have won three on the bounce since February 2020.

The visitors travel to the second city having kept just one clean sheet in 20 league games - but they did end their 17-match winless home streak by beating Barnsley on Saturday.

How do you see this one panning out?
