No goals and not many chances either.

The away side have probably shaded what few chances there have been and there are some boos from the home fans as the teams head to the dressing rooms.

The visitors allow Enda Stevens to drift in from the left and smash a shot at goal with his less-favoured right foot.

And, well, you can see why it is his less favoured foot.

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Coventry

Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp goes to ground with a Coventry player behind him but the referee gives a free-kick to the away side for Sharp handballing it on the floor.

Rather sums up how the day is going for the hosts so far.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 37 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Coventry

Sheffield United finally get the ball down the Coventry end of the pitch.

A couple of crosses cause some consternation in the Sky Blues rearguard but they eventrually clear.

Blades midfielder Conor Hourihane is booked for pulling Gustavo Hamer back as Coventry look to turn defence into attack.

Bramall Lane does feel a bit flat today it has to be said.

You can understand the home fans being quiet given the team haven't got going in this one at all.

After a slow start, it's Coventry who look most likely to break the deadlock.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 30 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Coventry

Coventry midfielder Gustavo Hamer is booked for tripping Morgan Gibbs-White as he looked to advance on goal.

Tempers flare a little bit afterwards and Blades full-back Jayden Bogle is booked for his reaction.

Hamer has now been booked eight times this season. Some effort considering it's only November.

  8. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Coventry

Coventry get in down their right and Todd Kane swings in a wicked low cross that goalkeeper Wes Foderingham is all at sea for.

Luckily for him a Blades defender is first to the ball and hooks it away.

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Coventry

We're just past the 25-minute mark and the hosts are yet to draw a save from visiting goalkeeper Simon Moore.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 22 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Coventry

    That's as clear-cut a yellow as you'll see today.

Viktor Gyokeres pushes the ball past John Egan 35 yards from goal and the Irishman pulls him to the ground.

Fortunately for the Blades Chris Basham was covering or the hosts could have found themselves reduced to 10 men.

    The free-kick comes to nothing.

Coventry growing into this now as they look to pass the ball around with some real intent.

Ben Sheaf's low cross in is cut out by Blades goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

  12. Postpublished at 15 mins

Coventry draw the first save of the match.

Ben Sheaf picks up an inside pass from Callum O'Hare and launches a long ranger at Wes Foderingham's goal.

He parries it comfortably enough to safety but that's better from the visitors.

The home side spring a quick attack after some more neat play from John Fleck.

The cross is too deep and doesn't come to anything but the home side pick it up and look to build again.

  14. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Coventry

Coventry yet to really put their foot on the ball so far.

Mark Robins has tweaked his formation to set up a bit more defensively and you'd have to say he'd probably be content to pick up a point here today.

  15. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Coventry

Blades midfielder John Fleck shows lovely feet to fashion a shooting opportunity 25 yards out.

It drifts well wide but the initial bit was lovely to see and the home side will hope to see more of that from the Scotland international.

    No early goalmouth action.

The hosts have made four changes from their defeat at Blackburn last time out and Coventry three from their 3-2 win over Bristol City so you could understand if this game takes a few minutes to find a rhythm.
