United, in possession, played with narrow full-backs and caused Arsenal problems.

Once Arsenal took control of the game, Kim Little got on the ball and caused trouble.

United started very impressively. They were on the the front foot and had some territory and looked dangerous.

It was reflective of their game against Everton last week. I thought they started that game well and then faded out. Arsenal have become the dominant team in the half.

It remains goalless at half-time.

Beth Mead came closest to opening the scoring for Arsenal, hitting the crossbar.

Alessia Russo is strong on the ball in the middle of the pitch. She twists in possession and plays it out to Ella Toone.

United try to build, but Arsenal are back in numbers.

Arsenal have racked up plenty of corners now, but haven't been able to make anything count.

This latest one is played short, cleared and Manchester United threaten to break at pace. The attack, however, is quickly broken down.

Vivianne Miedema tries to step, skip and jink her way into the box, but she is well dispossessed.

Manuela Zinsberger holds her nerve on the edge of the box for Arsenal.

A long ball out of defence in search of Ella Toone eventually trickles through to the Gunners goalkeeper, but the United striker was coming in fast.

Mary Earps keeps scores level, standing firm to deny Noelle Maritz.

It is very much a defender's shot. The ball breaks kindly for Maritz on the right, after excellent build up work on the left which involves Vivianne Miedema and Steph Catley.

The end result is a shot straight at Earps.

Leah Galton tries to get on the end of a Kirsty Hanson cross, but can only foul her marker in the box. A dangerous moment well dealt with by Arsenal.

But it is a rare foray forward for United and we have another corner for Arsenal. Which again comes to nothing.

The BBC cameras cut to Sarina Wiegman in the stands.

The England boss is taking in one last game before the international break.

Steph Catley rises highest to meet the corner, but she fails to get any power on her header and Mary Earps plucks it out of the sky.

Arsenal very nearly unlock Manchester United for the opener.

Kim Kittle chips a lovely ball over United's defence, and Beth Mead times her run to perfection to meet it.

Her first touch isn't great, but she does try to cut the ball back. United's defence recovers and Mary Earps eventually picks the ball up as it trickles into her possession.

Manchester United’s Ella Toone has been in excellent form recently. That poor attempt of a 'cross or shot' is out of character.

She has been directly involved in 12 goals in her last 10 WSL appearances (6 goals, 6 assists). That fine run includes being on target against Everton last week.

Um, Is this a cross or a shot from Ella Toone.

She has a ton of space to exploit on the right side of the box.

She gets her head up and thumps the ball across goal. If it was a shot, it was a horrible one. And it it was a cross, it was a long way off being effective.

Arsenal's Vivienne Miedema, as well as team-mate Kim Little has a little extra incentive to get amongst the goals today.

Remarkably, if either one of them score, they will become the only players in WSL history to score against every side they have face in the competition.

Little has scored against 15 of the 16 teams she’s faced but never Man Utd, while Miedema has scored against 13 of the 14 teams she’s faced but like Little, never in three games against Man Utd.
