  18. 'The Premier League has to make a decision'published at 17:25 Greenwich Mean Time 18 December 2021

    Leeds v Arsenal (17:30 GMT)

    Arsenal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to Sky Sports: "We've had a couple of good results and performances and we need to get some consistency going. We want to improve our form and position in the league, but we have a tough game today."

On why away performances have not matched home performances: "I would say it is not the performances, it is the results. We lost the game at Old Trafford, but we played much better compared to the last year when we won. You need that resilience away from home sometimes and you need something else to get that result, And we need to improve results that's for sure."

On challenge facing his side: "I know what to expect out there, It is going to be a battle. I'm expecting a really difficult match."

On the Covid outbreak affecting football: "We cannot train the day after the match because we have to close Colney. We have a few cases like any other team. The Premier League has to make a decision, whether it is the best way to continue. And we will carry on depending on what they say."

On who has tested positive at Arsenal: "We had quite a lot of staff members and a few players as well."
