    Got your breath back yet?

Quite the end to both games, with Rayo Vallecano going close to a late equaliser against Real Madrid and Bordeaux almost pulling off a stunning comeback against Paris St-Germain.

Earlier, of course, Barcelona did fall victim to such a comeback as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Celta Vigo.

You can find reports on all those matches, plus the best of the rest of today's action over on our European football page.

That's all from me for today. Until next time!

    M'Baye Niang

    SURELY NOT.

We're into added time in Bordeaux but the hosts have a second!

M'Baye Niang slots in to leave PSG facing a nervous wait for the full-time whistle.

  5. CLOSE!published at 21:48 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2021

    Real Madrid 2-1 Rayo Vallecano

It should be 2-2! How have Real Madrid survived that!

A wonderful save from Thibaut Courtois, who tips over the bar moments after Eduardo Camavinga and Toni Kroos produced goal-line clearances.

We're into three minutes of added-time at the Bernabeu.

    Bordeaux 1-3 PSG

Bordeaux want a penalty for handball but their claims are waved away by the referee.

The hosts have a late corner... but it's booted clear.

  7. Postpublished at 21:43 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2021

    Real Madrid 2-1 Rayo Vallecano

Eduardo Camavinga turns and shoots on the edge of the box but his low attempt is too close to Stole Dimitrievski.

The threat of a late equaliser remains at the Bernabeu.

    Alberth Elis

A lifeline, or just a consolation?

Alberth Elis pulls one back for Bordeaux from Yacine Adli's cross. Around 10 minutes to go in this one...

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2021

    Real Madrid 2-1 Rayo Vallecano

But that's all from Radamel Falcao!

Introduced after 69 minutes. Scores after 77 minutes. Replaced after 80 minutes.

The Colombian has picked up a knock and can't continue. Can his side complete the job without him?

    Radamel Falcao

Radamel Falcao pulls one back for Rayo! Game on!

The substitute is picked out in space at the back post by Alvaro Garcia and sees his header deflected beyond the reach of Thibaut Courtois.

  11. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:33 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2021

    Real Madrid 2-0 Rayo Vallecano

    Rayo hit the post!

It's the visitors' best chance of the match. Karim Benzema loses the ball and Rayo quickly get up the other end but Bebe's low strike rattles the upright.

  12. Postpublished at 21:30 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2021

    Real Madrid 2-0 Rayo Vallecano

A decent spell for Rayo but the final pass has been missing in this second half and Real still look comfortable in defence with just over 15 minutes remaining.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2021

    Real Madrid 2-0 Rayo Vallecano

Radamel Falcao is coming on for Rayo Vallecano.

He replaces Randy Nteka. Can the Colombian lead a Rayo fightback?

    Kylian Mbappe

    The leaders get a third!

The Bordeaux defence is split by a ball down the middle to Georginio Wijnaldum, who carries it into the box before unselfishly setting up Kylian Mbappe to slot in. Game over? Maybe.

  15. CLOSE!published at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2021

    Real Madrid 2-0 Rayo Vallecano

    Delightful football from Real Madrid.

Vinicius Junior back heels the ball to Ferland Mendy, who back heels it to Karim Benzema. The Real striker goes for the top corner, bending the ball towards the far post but it's just over.

  16. Postpublished at 21:16 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2021

    Real Madrid 2-0 Rayo Vallecano

After covering the Barcelona game earlier today, I'm not ruling out a late comeback in either of these matches until both Real and PSG have scored at least four.

  17. CLOSE!published at 21:14 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2021

    Bordeaux 0-2 PSG

Is there a way back into this for Bordeaux? The hosts started so well but those two Neymar goals have taken the wind out of their sails.

Neymar goes close to the hat-trick but Benoit Costil is equal to the effort at his near post.

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2021

    Real Madrid 2-0 Rayo Vallecano

That's a great stop by Stole Dimitrievski.

Marco Asensio is closing in on goal and goes for the chip over the onrushing Rayo keeper, who manages to get a hand to it and push the ball clear of danger.

  19. CLOSE!published at 21:09 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2021

    Real Madrid 2-0 Rayo Vallecano

That would have been some goal!

Vinicius Junior has the ball glued to his boot as he beats not one, not two, but three Rayo defenders - however the 21-year-old just can't add the finishing touch.

  20. Postpublished at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2021

    Real Madrid 2-0 Rayo Vallecano

The ball almost falls into the path of Karim Benzema inside the six-yard box after good work from Marco Asensio, but Rayo do just enough to get the ball clear.
