Another David Turnbull cross causes problems.

It looks like Cameron Carter-Vickers is going to power the ball home with a header but he just misses it and clatters into Liel Abada.

    Ferencvaros 1-2 Celtic

This time David Turnbull's delivery comes from the right.

The ball is punched away but Celtic work it back in the box to Stephen Welsh who tries to nod it back across to Kyogo.

The ball is just behind the Japanese forward, however.

    Ferencvaros 1-2 Celtic

As a neutral, Celtic's European games have been a joy to watch this season.

Their attacking play is outstanding at times and you always know they will give up chances.

The former is on show again as Jota wins a free-kick on the left after a lovely bit of skill. David Turnbull's low free-kick is blocked away.

    Ferencvaros 1-2 Celtic

Fine effort from David Turnbull, who plays a neat one-two with Kyogo before taking the ball on his chest and rattling a volley over.

By the way, on second viewing he will be disappointed with that.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

    Ferencvaros 1-2 Celtic

Just like after the opening goal from Kyogo, that Jota strike has sparked Ferencvaros back into life.

First, Stephen Welsh defends brilliantly at his near post. Moments later, Joe Hart is forced down to his left to tip behind a near-post effort from Uzuni.

    Jota

    What a strike!

At the Celtic end, Civic's low drive is held well by Joe Hart who releases the ball instantly.

The away side are breaking and David Turnbull's touch finds Jota on the left. The Portuguese winger comes inside and unleashes an absolute cracker to the near post that clips the woodwork and goes in.

    Peach of an effort.

    Ferencvaros 1-1 Celtic

Ange Postecoglou will be disappointed in the way his side lost the equaliser, but his side look much more secure as the half is progressing.

If they can touch up their attacking play, this game could be here for them.

Ferencvaros are pressing Celtic, they don't want to allow them time on the ball. They are waiting to capitalise on any Celtic errors should they come

    Ferencvaros 1-1 Celtic

Celtic look like they might be settling.

A good bit of possession sees Liel Abada get into the box and backheel towards Callum McGregor.

McGregor goes down as he meets the ball but the referee is having none of it.

Celtic are playing themselves into bother.

Good pressing again from the hosts sees them nick the ball off David Turnbull, but the midfielder gets lucky as the referee blows for a foul.

It is a poor goal to lose. Celtic overplay it in the right-back area, trying to flick it over people, being a little bit slack. It's such an avoidable goal.

    Zubkov

Rapid response from the hosts who have responded well to Kyogo's opener.

Zubkov picks the ball up on the right and tries to clip a ball in after slack play from Celtic.

The cross takes a wicked deflection off Josip Juranovic and loops over Joe Hart. Might actually go down as an own goal.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

    Ferencvaros 0-1 Celtic

Stephen Welsh can't believe he's been yellow carded here.

The centre-back breaks away with the ball and flings a hand back. His hand catches Zubkov square on the face.

Accidental, but you don't get away with them anymore.

Going in front allows Celtic to still be in that attacking mindset but it forces Ferencvaros to try and press and find a way back into the game, but that should suit how Celtic like to play and it's set up nicely.

Celtic have been asked to do a bit of defending since that Kyogo goal.

Stephen Welsh gets away with one as he slips and is pressed by his man.

Thankfully for Celtic the ball finds its way back to Joe Hart.

I should probably add that Kyogo is sporting a new blonde barnet.

What a signing the little forward has been for Ange Postecoglou. Gives Celtic another dimension playing through the middle.

    Kyogo

    What a start!

Liel Abada is onto a terrible touch Civic. The Israeli winger cuts it across the box and Kyogo is there.

The Japanese forward is patient. He feints before drilling in with his left foot. Brilliant finish.

The home side deliver an early warning as they try to get in behind the Celtic backline, but Stephen Welsh hacks clear after Nguen fluffs his lines.

    Hostile atmosphere in Hungary.

Anthony Ralston finally has a lovely pair of new socks on and we're off in tonight's second game.

Big night for Celtic in Hungary. No away fans permitted access for this one, but plenty of noise being made by the home support.
