    Brondby 0-0 Rangers

Coming together between Fashion Sakala and Bruus wide on the left.

Sakala tries to step over Bruus but catches the Brondby man with his studs.

Don't really know where his feet are supposed to go but the referee doesn't care. The yellow card is out.

    Brondby 0-0 Rangers

Bit of a scramble in the Rangers box as Brondby try to mount more pressure.

But Steven Gerrard's men are holding firm in defence. A gentle reminder that the hosts are the only team in this season's Europa League yet to score a group stage goal...

  3. Postpublished at 18:15 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

    Brondby 0-0 Rangers

Steven Gerrard said pre-match that his old Liverpool team-mate Daniel Agger, who started his career at Brondby, told him he would experience one of the best atmospheres about.

    He might have a point....

But Brondby are straight on the break.

Bruus guides in a lovely pass to Hedlund who breaks into the box and is met with a brilliant sliding challenge from Connor Goldson.

The hosts then work a short corner, but the shot Radosevic is over.

  5. Postpublished at 18:11 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

    Brondby 0-0 Rangers

    Much, much better from Rangers.

A gorgeous long ball from Connor Goldson finds Joe Aribo who slips in Scott Arfield down the right.

Arfield wins a corner but the resulting delivery is dealt with.

    Brondby 0-0 Rangers

    Richard Foster
Former Rangers defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

Rangers just need to go after Brondby. I don't know why Rangers are sitting and soaking up the pressure, just go and grab the game and put this one to bed as early as possible.

  7. CLOSE!published at 18:09 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

    Brondby 0-0 Rangers

    Ooooffft! That was inches away.

Out of nothing, Scott Arfield feeds Alfredo Morelos who drills a shot from outside the box towards the bottom-left corner.

But the ball rolls just, I mean just, off target. Good effort.

  8. 'Disjointed start from Rangers'published at 18:07 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

    Brondby 0-0 Rangers

    Steven Thompson
Former Rangers striker on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

Rangers have had flashes of good moments - the Sakala shot, the disallowed goal - but they have not managed to get real authority and control in this game, like they did in the home tie. Tonight has been slightly more disjointed.

    What an atmosphere this is!

  10. Postpublished at 18:06 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

    Brondby 0-0 Rangers

Attacks were flowing for Rangers early on, but the last five minutes or so have been a bit of a struggle to get anything going.

  11. Postpublished at 18:03 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

    Brondby 0-0 Rangers

Rangers work the ball out well from the left to Steven Davis 25 yards out.

Less said about the shot, the better. Miles wide.

  12. Postpublished at 18:02 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

    Brondby 0-0 Rangers

Bruus' deliveries from the Brondby right may be a route to success for the hosts.

Connor Goldson nods behind another fine ball in from the wing-back, but the visitors deal with the corner well.

The home side might be coming into this...

  13. Postpublished at 17:59 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

    Brondby 0-0 Rangers

With this home crowd behind them, Brondby look like they could cause problems for Rangers.

But their defence isn't looking too clever so far, especially in possession.

  14. 'Sakala snatches shot'published at 17:58 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

Fashion Sakala just snatched at his shot when he needed to show a little composure

  15. Postpublished at 17:58 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

    Brondby 0-0 Rangers

Brondby do well to win a corner up the other end as they aim to threaten the Rangers defence for the first time.

The corner is deep and Connor Goldson is there to head it away. The referee blows for a free-kick as well on the Rangers defender.

  16. CLOSE!published at 17:57 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

    Brondby 0-0 Rangers

There are gaps everywhere in this Brondby backline.

Joe Aribo turns on the halfway line and slips a ball in behind. Fashion Sakala is off in shot and he's through.

But the striker's finish is dragged just wide of the far post.

  17. Postpublished at 17:55 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

Half chance for that man Alfredo Morelos.

Borna Barisic again curls in a dangerous ball. Morelos take it down on the chest but blazes a left-footed finish over.

There's zip about Rangers on the break.

  18. 'Brondby not good enough on the ball'published at 17:54 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

    Richard Foster

    Quote Message

Rangers just need to put Brondby under pressure. They are trying to play out from the back. But, with respect, they're just not good enough to do it.

  19. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 17:52 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2021

    Brondby 0-0 Rangers

The resulting corner from James Tavernier drops to the back post and Alfredo Morelos heads it in.

The flag is up. The linesman believes the ball has gone out on its way into the box. After a VAR check the referee waves play on.

Almost a dream start for Rangers.

First bit of pressure from Rangers as Borna Barisic's brilliant cross is headed away.

Scott Arfield picks up the scraps and wins a corner.
