Corner for Oxford late in the first half... but Rovers deal with it well.

On the evidence of this opening 45 minutes, this one could be going the distance.

“They are very well organised, very well structured, really well coached. I think at every level of football nowadays it is a competitive level," Richardson said.

    Bristol Rovers 0-0 Oxford United

Oxford have definitely grown into this game. They couldn't get a touch on the ball in the opening 15 minutes but now look more likely to make something happen. That said, the hosts are hunting down every ball...

The atmosphere is starting to build here at Home Park as Sheffield Wednesday prepare to take on Plymouth Argyle.

The hosts go into this tie top of League One having not lost a game in the third tier since the the opening day.

They face a Wednesday side who were beaten 3-0 here just over two months ago - but they became the first side since the start of August to stop the Pilgrims from scoring when they drew 0-0 at Hillsborough in the first tie last week.

    Great chance for Oxford.

Rovers give the ball away at the back and Daniel Agyei is away - he eyes up the chance, then looks for a team-mate but can't make his mind up and is eventually ushered away from goal by the retreating home defence.

    Have a dig!

    Bristol Rovers 0-0 Oxford United

Little possession, but the best chance of the game so far for Oxford!

Mark Sykes wriggles free inside the area, shifts the ball on to his right foot and looks to find the bottom corner, but Rovers goalkeeper James Belshaw gets down well to palm it behind.

Bristol Rovers are dominating possession, in fact they'd had 85% of it after the opening 15 minutes, but there's nothing to show for it for the hosts so far.

No real chances for either side so far, though Mark Sykes does go over in the Rovers box and there's the faintest appeal for a penalty - nothing doing for Oxford.
