    Martin Keown
Former England defender on Final Score

Shocking from Everton. Its got nervy for Norwich, who have been unrecognizable. I do not like the look of this Everton team at all. I am not sure why Richarlison has not played from the start, Benitez is under a lot of pressure.

Into the final 10. How many more chances are Everton going to get to nab something here?

  3. Postpublished at 16:37 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Wolves 2-0 Southampton

Not much to report in this game. The crowd has settled down play being mostly contested in midfield. Feels like this is one to learn from and move on for Southampton.

    Newcastle 1-0 Watford

Allan Saint-Maximin tries to pick out Sean Longstaff in the box but it doesn't come off.

Watford will come at them again as they continue to push for an equaliser.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:36 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

Looks like Max Aarons is done for the day. Possibly longer. He's been helped around the side of the pitch by two physios.

He is replaced by Dimitrios Giannoulis.

  6. 'Newcastle starting to wobble'published at 16:35 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Newcastle 1-0 Watford

    Neil Lennon
Former Celtic midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

This is a fascinating end to the game, Newcastle are starting to really wobble here and I can understand why Eddie Howe wants to make a change.

It's been a good reaction from Watford but they just don't have the quality to score a goal.

    Newcastle 1-0 Watford

    Alistair Magowan
BBC Sport at St James' Park

Newcastle have weathered a bit of a response from Watford, with the game more even now.

All about cool heads now, isn't it? Watford have looked dangerous on the break all game, and Eddie Howe is having a long chat with Jason Tindall about how to manage this game to a successful conclusion.

This is where you earn your cash as a manager.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:35 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Newcastle 1-0 Watford

Another Watford change. Tom Cleverley is on. Samir was down with cramp a few moments ago but it's Juraj Kucka who goes off.

I agree, it's wrong Tim (16:12) but Liverpool set the standard when they couldn't field a team on Thursday for the Carabao and then did for the F.A. Cup on the Sunday... There needed to be a consistent rule from the start and there wasn't - people are now going to play the system.

Lots of miserable looking Southampton fans in the away end. It is a long journey for what has largely been a disappointing performance, particularly in this second half.

Watford win a corner on the right. It's half-cleared to the edge of the box and Edo Kayembe's strike isn't too far away from creeping inside the left post.

  19. 'Lascelles is a lucky man'published at 16:28 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Newcastle 1-0 Watford

    Neil Lennon
Former Celtic midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Jaamal Lascelles is the luckiest man at St James' Park, he's made an absolute boo-boo, trying to play a square pass and miskicked it.

Moussa Sissoko has the whole goal to aim at and he misses. What an opportunity for Watford. All of a sudden there's tension creeping into this game again.

  20. Postpublished at 16:27 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Norwich 2-1 Everton

You can hear the nerves in the stands. Everton float a free-kick into the box and the ball almost deflects for Dominic Calvert-Lewin to poke in. Tim Krul is there, though, to block and gather.
