Mohgamed Abdelmonem gets a yellow card, bundling Soufiane Rahimi to the ground, just outside the penalty area. Achraf Hakimi takes it but sends it over the top in the last action in the first half of extra time.

Egypt 15 minutes away from the semi-finals - time for a quick breather.

Soon after that goal as Mo Salah went to celebrate with Trezeguet - the Aston Villa man fell to his knees in thanks and asked to kiss Salah's boot.

GOAL - Egypt 2-1 Moroccopublished at 100 mins

    Trezeguet

Mohamed Salah scored the first - and he's made the second.

It's absolutely brilliant from the Liverpool man who sprints down the right wing, he feigns to cut inside on to his left foot, that fools Morocco's Nayef Aguerd and that allows Salah to produce a brilliant, inviting ball across the face of the Morocco goal.

Aston Villa's Trezeguet is there at the back post and he keeps his composure to calmly finish from close range and Egypt are closing in on the final four.

Egypt boss Carlos Quieroz has finally lost patience with goalkeeper Mohamed Abo Gabal, who, despite struggling to move for 10 minutes, is now finally replaced. He limps off slowly.

What a chance for third-choice goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi to be Egypt's hero. He's on.

    Egypt 1-1 Morocco

Mohamed Abo Gabal, who injured himself making a superb save to keep out Nayef Aguerd's header, is still out there.

Mohamed Sobhi, Egypt's third-choice keeper, was ready to come on, but Abo Gabal is still the man between the posts.

Morocco's instructions may well be to strike from distance and see how mobile Abo Gabal actually is.

And away we go for extra time.

  13. Olembe ban liftedpublished at 16:59 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2022

    Nick Cavell
    BBC Africa Sport in Cameroon

The Confederation of African Football has just announced the ban on the Olembe stadium hosting matches at the Africa Cup of Nations has been lifted.

The ban was imposed after Monday's tragedy at the venue when eight people lost their lives in a crush of fans trying to force their way in to watch hosts Cameroon against Comoros.

It means the brand new Olembe stadium will host a semi-final and final as planned.

Who goes through? Thumbs up for Egypt, thumbs down for Morocco

OK, quick vote time. Who goes through?

Hit thumbs up for Egypt and thumbs down for Morocco. And no that doesn't mean I think Morocco going through is a bad thing!

  15. EXTRA TIMEpublished at 16:56 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2022

    Egypt 1-1 Morocco

We've got another 30 minutes of action as the two north African countries can't be separated after 90 minutes.

Mohamed Salah's equaliser has forced extra time after Morocco had taken an early lead with Sofiane Boufal's early penalty.

    Egypt 1-1 Morocco

Egypt goalkeeper Mohamed Abo Gabal is not moving too freely, but he is still out there and managed to kick the ball from his hands and set up a counter attack. He found Mohamed Salah, but he is crowded out by the Morocco defenders.

  17. Postpublished at 90+3 mins

    Egypt 1-1 Morocco

Morocco, in the 93rd minute, win a corner. A goal now could be a winner, but the corner from the left evades everyone and the chance is wasted.

  18. Postpublished at 90+2 mins

    Egypt 1-1 Morocco

We have five minutes of injury time. And Mohamed Abo Gabal, who has Gabaski on the back of his shirt, looks like he can't continue.

It's the third time we've had a stoppage and he has received attention again, but he is still out there. Mohamed Sobhi was poised to come on, but his time has not come yet.

After the rather less attractive melee between the two teams nice to see some great football.

There are only a few TV monitors in the media area - but seconds after the ball came off the bar from Naif Aguerd's header everyone rushed to check if Gabaski had got a touch - he did. But looks like it may have ended his game too!
