Let's not forget we still have Bayern Munich striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting on the Cameroon bench. The former PSG and Stoke player scored some crucial goals for the Indomitable Lions to help them reach the African play-offs for the 2022 World Cup.

Mohamed Salah finally gets a slight sight if goal, but his low effort skips just past the post. He really hasn't been in this game at all.

Apparently Egypt did not want this referee for the match, when you are up against that and the a nation you will feel things aren't going your way.

This was about as close as either side came to a goal in that second-half...

We carry on into extra-time. Before any of that, though, there is another yellow card for the Egypt bench, to Carlos Queiroz's assistant.

If this referee wasn't popular with Egypt before this game, he's ensured he won't be getting a Christmas card from them now.

Having watched Carlos Queiroz on the touchline for the last two games I am not shocked at all that he has been sent off.

He was lucky that he did not see red in the quarter-final win over Morocco. No wonder his asisstant, former Egypt international, Wael Gomaa has been told to stay on the bench he is also a fiery character.
