"I thought we stayed in the game quite well but you can’t give two goals to a Premier League side and that’s the disappointing thing."

Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield manager Carlos Corberan: "I have a squad that I trust and it's a shame I can only pick 16 outfielders in any squad, because I saw interesting things from a number of players today.

"It's special to have seven games without losing. It tells us that the players are competing really well and I want to see that continue. Of course the dynamic of the game is positive but I know as a coach we'll have tough moments and good moments.

"There are things we have to continue improving and have the stability to keep changing situations."

On the travelling fans: "They were pushing us all the way and helping us to keep going. It felt like we were playing at home today and we wanted to give something special to our fans."

Peterborough nearly got an early goal in their tie against Bristol Rovers, but Sammie Szmodics hit a powerful shot narrowly wide.

"The result is the main thing and we have got through a really tough tie.

"We can play better but they are on a great run and any Championship team would have struggled today. We had a fight and struggled to get through but eventually we did."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace goalscorer Michael Olise to ITV: "It was a tough start to the game and at half-time we said we needed to respond and show more fight – and we did that in the second half. We did what we know how to do and the quality came through.

"The gaffer just told us to go out there, express ourselves and play well, fight – and that’s we did. The Palace fans were great throughout the whole game, the atmosphere was great."
