  1. Post update

    Wales 0-1 Netherlands

Wales were a little too passive and the Netherlands took advantage.

Teun Koopmeiners has been arguably their best player so far and the Atalanta midfielder's finish was classy.

  2. GOAL - Wales 0-1 Netherlands

    Teun Koopmeiners

The visitors' pressure tells as they work the ball around the edge of the penalty area and Jerdy Schouten finds Teun Koopmeiners in space.

He takes a touch before drilling a low shot beyond the helpless Adam Davies from 18 yards.

  3. Post update

    Wales 0-0 Netherlands

Teun Koopmeiners takes the free-kick but if flashes wide of the post.

No work yet, then, for Adam Davies.

  4. Post update

    Wales 0-0 Netherlands

As in the first period, it is the Dutch who have begun this half on top.

They have a free-kick in a dangerous position thanks to Chris Mepham's foul.

    Wales 0-0 Netherlands

    Nathan Blake

Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

Rob Page is doing really well with his players when he's introducing them, you couldn't pick a better moment for me.

  6. Post update

    Wales 0-0 Netherlands

    Joe Ledley

Former Wales midfielder on BBC Radio Wales

Defensively I think Wales have been outstanding. They are pressing high up. They look solid.

The Netherlands have made 11 changes and you can see that in their play at times. Wales have dealt with that very well.

    They are holding their own.

  7. KICK-OFF

    Wales 0-0 Netherlands

We are under way in the second half, with Wales making one change at the break.

Sheffield United's Adam Davies is on for his fourth cap in goal, replacing Danny Ward.

  8. Plotting a trip to Qatar?

    HT: Wales 0-0 Netherlands

Wales fans at the Ukraine game

If you are contemplating a trip to Qatar in November, you will be pleased to hear the Football Association of Wales are lobbying to secure more tickets for their fans.

As it stands, Wales expect to be allocated only around 2,000 tickets for each of their group matches.

You can read the full story here.

There are some who do not want to go, of course, with First Minister Mark Drakeford saying this week Wales should "not look the other way" from human rights concerns in Qatar.

And some members of the Rainbow Wall, Wales' official LGBTQ+ supporters' group, will not be travelling because of Qatar's stance on gay rights.

  9. Wales will go 'toe to toe' with World Cup rivals

    HT: Wales 0-0 Netherlands

    Robert Page

The Nations League is the focus tonight, but the World Cup is at the forefront of Welsh minds as the dust settles after play-off final victory.

Wales will meet USA, Iran and England in Group B in Qatar.

Robert Page was bullish when asked about Wales' prospects this week, insisting they will "go toe to toe with anybody" come November.

  10. Bale needs regular club games

    HT: Wales 0-0 Netherlands

Skipper Gareth Bale is on the bench tonight.

The 32-year-old forward is now a free agent after leaving Real Madrid at the end of his contract, and has been linked with a host of clubs, including Cardiff City.

Wales boss Robert Page says his talisman needs regular football next season in order to be in peak condition for November's World Cup in Qatar.

Where will he end up? It promises to be one of the storylines of Welsh football's summer.

  12. HALF-TIME - Wales 0-0 Netherlands

There is no added time and the whistle goes.

Robert Page can be pretty pleased with what he has seen so far, as some of his back-up players look to sake a claim for a place in Qatar.

  13. Chance goes begging

    Wales 0-0 Netherlands

Oh so close to a goal late in the first period as Cody Gakpo shows his pace to surge into the Welsh box.

He turns onto his right foot and watches as his shot deflects off Chris Mepham and sails wide of the post with Danny Ward stranded.

  14. Post update

The Dutch are on top as half-time approaches.

Hans Hateboer crosses menacingly towards the 6ft 6in Wout Weghorst but Joe Rodon rises to head clear.

Joe Rodon clatters Burnley striker Wout Weghorst and the Dutch free-kick which follows is only half-cleared to Jerdy Schouten, but his effort from outside the box is blocked.

  17. Post update

    Wales 0-0 Netherlands

    Philip Marsh

BBC Sport Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium

A little news off the pitch this evening, Welsh football's new anthem 'Yma o Hyd' by Dafydd Iwan has reached number one in the iTunes sales charts.

Not a coincidence after they ended a 64-year wait to reach a World Cup on Sunday.

  18. Post update

    Wales 0-0 Netherlands

The Netherlands burst into the home penalty area but Connor Roberts is on hand to clear.

The visitors have been short on quality in the final third thus far.

  19. Post update

    Wales 0-0 Netherlands

    Natasha Harding

Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

I think what the Dutch team are very good at is they switch the ball very, very fast.

They go in to come out, they're trying to move Wales left to right, trying to tire them out, and that's where the pockets happen. Wales are doing an okay job right now.

  20. Post update

    Wales 0-0 Netherlands

Good defending by Chris Mepham, who wins possession back for his team.

Wales must now try to keep hold of it for a spell.
