    Rob Green

England were stretched. The game opened up on the counter-attack. Werner wants more pace on the ball from Havertz, he was flying. He was waiting for it, waiting for it. Another good save from Pickford.

Brilliant save. Massive moment in the game. Pickford had to make up ground across goal. Muller would be happy with how he met that.

  7. CLOSE!

    Germany 1-0 England

Germany are all over England and almost get a second of the night.

England are clinging on in the game. They're getting pushed back. The game is going on a long way from us.

Dan: Sterling is poor, Mount is poor, Kane has had his 5 good games for the year and now looks 85 years old again. This team needs some life up front as well as at the back.

    Germany 1-0 England

    Ilkay Gundogannnnnn...runs into the referee.

Get out of the way man.

  12. Post update

    Germany 1-0 England

    Rob Green

Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Two players [coming off] who have caught the eye. The star performer of the evening was Jamal Musiala - he looks so sharp and so alive. He got the ball in spaces. He knew when to turn and when to run.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONS

    Germany 1-0 England

    It's a double change...for Germany.

Goalscorer Jonas Hofman and the excellent Jamal Musiala make way for Chelsea's Timo Werner and Serge Gnabry entering on his home ground.

Wames: Southgate has improved everything about this England, except for what happens after the whistle is blown. Utter fraud.

  15. Post update

    Germany 1-0 England

    Rob Green

England aren't making the right choice. You're not going to get too many chances given to you at a place like this.

  16. Post update

England just aren't at the races, Raheem Sterling has space and has time to find Harry Kane, but is stumbling over, loses his footing and gets it all wrong.
