    Northern Ireland 0-0 Kosovo

Much better already from Northern Ireland on the restart and it's Conor Bradley who goes close to an opener.

A flowing move ends with the Liverpool teenager cutting inside and his low shot is saved by Arijanet Muric.

  4. Jeffrey offered Sky Blues resignationpublished at 18:00 British Summer Time 24 September 2022

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Kosovo

Some local football news now and Ballymena United manager David Jeffrey has revealed that he offered his resignation after last week's 1-0 home Premiership defeat by Carrick Rangers.

The loss was the latest in a series of disappointing early-season results for the Sky Blues and Jeffrey hinted he may be considering his future in a post-match interview with BBC Sport NI.

He says the support of his players and the club's Board caused him to reconsider his decision to step down.

The Sky Blues sit 10th in the table.

    Tommy Wright
Former Northern Ireland goalkeeper on Radio Ulster

    Quote Message

There is no cohesion to Northern Ireland's play. They seem to be reactive rather than proactive in what they are doing. We look as if the actual system and how we play is still a work in progress.

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Kosovo

    Jim Magilton

    Quote Message

Northern Ireland look nervous, disjointed and their play lacks purpose. They are not playing with any conviction or confidence.

A few boos ring out at half-time.

It's not been the most inspiring half of football, if we're being polite.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 17:47 British Summer Time 24 September 2022

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Kosovo

The only real positive for Northern Ireland after the opening 45 minutes is that they're not behind.

Kosovo have wasted a series of chances while the hosts have struggled to create anything of note.

Northern Ireland have won just one of their last 14 home games and they have disappointed once again in front of the Green and White Army.

But it remains level and there is hope - eight of Northern Ireland's 10 goals in the Nations League have come in the second half.

  10. Postpublished at 17:44 British Summer Time 24 September 2022

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Kosovo

Another good effort from Dion Charles and again he is denied by Kosovo keeper Arijanet Muric.

The Bolton Wanderers striker is providing the only real threat for the hosts.

  11. Postpublished at 17:40 British Summer Time 24 September 2022

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Kosovo

Another let-off for Northern Ireland as Elbasan Rashani heads over from eight yards.

It's quickly followed by the first decent chance of the game for the hosts with Dion Charles, who is making his first NI start, sending in a fierce shot which Arijanet Muric palms away.

  12. Postpublished at 17:36 British Summer Time 24 September 2022

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Kosovo

    Andy Gray
    BBC Sport NI

Kosovo are really targeting Conor Bradley down the left but the youngster is coping well so far and, just like the away game, they look dangerous when they break forward in numbers.

After a loud start to the game from the fans, in which Kyle Lafferty's name was sung, things have become a bit flat as the half has ticked on.

  14. Postpublished at 17:30 British Summer Time 24 September 2022

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Kosovo

Kosovo are looking slick and assured while it's a bit disjointed from a Northern Ireland team yet to find any rhythm.

It's not going to plan so far for Ian Baraclough.

  15. Postpublished at 17:26 British Summer Time 24 September 2022

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Kosovo

Bailey Peacock-Farrell has to be alert to get down and make the save as Florent Muslija tries his luck from a 35-yard free-kick.

  16. Postpublished at 17:18 British Summer Time 24 September 2022

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Kosovo

Northern Ireland are beginning to find their feet in attack as Conor Bradley whips in a dangerous cross but there's no-one there to provide the telling touch.

  17. 'Playing into Kosovo's hands'published at 17:17 British Summer Time 24 September 2022

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Kosovo

    John O'Neill
Former Northern Ireland defender on BBC Radio Ulster

    Quote Message

This is as poor a start from Northern Ireland as I have seen. We are trying to play the ball out from the back and it is playing into Kosovo's hands.

  18. Postpublished at 17:15 British Summer Time 24 September 2022

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Kosovo

Kosovo squander another chance - this time Bailey Peacock-Farrell flaps at a corner and the ball cames to Fidan Alita with his back to goal.

The defender attempts an overhead kick from six yards and it flies just over.

  19. Postpublished at 17:13 British Summer Time 24 September 2022

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Kosovo

Milot Raschica again underhits an effort to give Bailey Peaccok-Farrell a comfortable save but there's no doubt Kosovo have made the better start at Windsor Park while Northern Ireland have offered little threat so far.

  20. CLOSE!published at 17:08 British Summer Time 24 September 2022

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Kosovo

Kosovo almost grab an early opener - Bailey Peacock-Farrell can only parry Florent Muslija's curling shot but Milot Raschica fails to get a good connection to the rebound from close range and it's a lucky escape for the hosts.
