Southampton are almost too comfortable with their passing and make a mistake. Norwich ping a long ball forward for Teemu Pukki but Jan Bednarek defends well to stop the Finn.

It is all too passive from Norwich. It is so easy for Southampton around their 18-yard box and they can get shots off at will.

The corner comes out to Stuart Armstrong, whose shot outside the box is blocked... and Che Adams wins another corner.

Southampton have the ball for at least a minute, maybe two, passing and probing in the final third and eventually Stuart Armstrong is tackled in the box for a corner.

Let-off for Norwich as Brandon Williams hits a pass at Mathias Normann but with too much power. Armando Broja gets the ball, takes it on and then his shot from 18 yards is saved by Angus Gunn.

For the second time today Ben Gibson shows good strength to stop Armando Broja getting onto a dangerous ball. This time it's in the area.

When you do get those situations you have to be clinical and make those chances count.

Josh Sargent has a shot blocked and then Billy Gilmour shoots wide and suddenly Norwich have the first two chances of the game. Good play by Teemu Pukki down the right to get that move going.

The problem for Norwich is when you win possession back so deep you have nobody up front to keep the ball. They have not seen the football at all so far.

Southampton are attacking at will at the moment. That was very bright play but they fluffed the opportunity.

James Ward-Prowse plays a low short corner to Che Adams that nobody is expecting... including Adams himself as he doesn't get it under control.

Lovely play by Kyle Walker-Peters, who is getting plenty of joy on the left wing already, and his cross is headed behind for a corner.

Good pestering by Teemu Pukki to put several Southampton defenders under pressure and then try to close down Fraser Forster.
